The only thing that's going to kill WoW is WoW itself. It needs to be part of a big scandal or something.

I don't even think WoWII (i hope to whatever shape/name god that it never happens) could kill WoW

I doubt WoW will ever be surpassed by another MMO it's simply the uncrownd king of the genre.
Oh it's been surpassed many times: the question is weather or not it will be beaten in popularity.
I'm going to go ahead and assume that's what he meant, considering that's what everyone else here was talking about.

What's wrong with people from Korea?
Nothing, but they play video games like madmen.
Always wanted to play Guild Wars, never had the chance.
I have Guild wars, don't play it that much though. My brother plays it mostly. It's quite good, and it doesn't have any fees to pay, so a big plus there.

I think WoW should curled under the might heel of Runescape XD.
Oh god...

That game is one of the most worthless piles of pointless skills that I've ever had the misfortune to play...

In truth, a horrible game.

I don't see the point in competing with WoW.

You'll only fail if you do (Warhammer Online), instead I think its prudent to offer something WoW doesn't and be content with a smaller subscriber base (EVE-Online.).

Then good news for you! They're going to add a z-axis, which they said will allow swimming and *drumroll please* jumping!

Meh... You expand a mmo... Not make a new one. Basicly screws all the work players put into it.

But if you're making an MMO, you don't even need to advertise to competing with WoW. The auto-hype by soon to be disappointed consumers do that to the product. Look at Killzone 1, Guerilla NEVER claimed it was going to be the 'Halo Killer', the hype did.

WoW killer? No. From my perspective the two games can run parallel to each other. I myself have burned many, many hours on Guild Wars, but as of late I hardly get on anymore and have fallen out of the MMO community in general. Guild Wars 2 will have to be extraordinarily well done for me to pick it up. And if it is, I hope all those damn things I crammed into my Hall of Monuments mean something in GW2.

Not only that but you will be able to slide, and they are planning to make some skills work differently based on how you are moving!

I played GW for like a year and a half( through all the expansions) It was great, deafanitly the best MMORGP I ever played, I may pick it up again when the new one comes out, but my comp is shit, so it may not happen, we'll see
Pretty much that, I've got all the expansions (but have never gotten past half way on any of them :S) but I did really like them.

I don't think anything will kill WoW because all of its players are so up arse about it, there is so many game that surpass WoW but all the WoWtards will stay with there game just to spite the other.

Personally I think WoW has a good depth to it, because of all the Quests and stuff to do, but the graphics are crap.

My biggest fear is that they are trying to turn GW into WoW to be more successful.
And do we really need all those other races? I loved the fact that you could only be human in GW.
The good thing is that al least the races aren't elves, dwarves and orcs but something original.
I just hope they keep grinding out of the game. If Eye of the North added anything, it was grindtastic grinding.

I doubt GW2 will beat WoW. The people who play WoW won't just switch games lightly.
