They went under. The game was mediocre, the devs lost publisher support, not enough people bought it. It died.

Pretty definitive.

There was a news post on it a few days ago, last week maybe, I forget. Kinda upsetting.

The game cost a lot to make, probably would've cost a lot to upkeep... and it sucked, or at least it wasn't really all that good.
I never played it so I can't speak from experience, but that's what I gathered.

Ok I know i'm gonna sound like a complete idiot but, what does APB stand for?
Perhaps reading the thread title would enlighten you.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/APB:_All_Points_Bulletin

sidenote: there's classes for 80 year olds to learn how to google
on topic: if i remember the screenshot right it was clearly stated on their newsfeed, day before: tommorw patch !, day after: no wait, no patch, lets close the game instead

Its a police phrase, you put a 'all points bulletin' out when you are looking for someone.

MMO Shooter. Died. Wikipedia is your friend
Ok thanks, it's still a bloody weird name though.
Basically what the guy above me said

Wikipedia: An all-points bulletin (APB) is a broadcast issued from one US law enforcement agency to another. It typically contains information about a wanted suspect who is to be arrested or a person of interest, for whom law enforcement officers are to look. They are usually dangerous or missing persons. As used by US police, the term dates to at least 1960.[1] An all-points bulletin can also be known as a BOLO or BOL, which stands for "be on the look-out". Such an alert may also be called a lookout or ATL ("attempt to locate").

This also means no more crackdown I guess. It's a shame they couldn't make this game work because the concept was awesome but the execution needed work. The customisation options were really good and I hope that the software itself doesn't go down the drain.

I feel bad that people lost their jobs over it, but I saw/played the game at PAXEast and am not all that surprised. It was easily the worst at show, and the organization at the booth was terrible. Got free swag from it, so I can't be all negative about it though!

One wonders why you're posting in this thread at all.

Yeah, APB dead. Other games should absolutely cannibalise the creator from it though.
