Perhaps reading the thread title would enlighten you.
Oh, well then what's all points bulletin?[/quote

Grow a brain. Holy shit. It's 2010. Have you heard of this thing called "Google?"

OT: I hate hearing this. Can you imagine how APB players feel right now? I literally can't begin to imagine their pain and suffering.

xD
its as if a million (or more likely, a few thousand) voices cried out at once, and then were suddenly silenced...

Does fairly suck though, for all the games faults there were a few fun things to do on it

Someone already said, 97 days. Thats gotta be a record.
And, i hope that EPIC do rez it, it has a lot of potential.
To be fair, its hard to be over critical of a new MMO,
Theres loads of things that were probably gonna be added, just never did.
To be honest, if a company like rockstar got hold of it, they could make it awesome,
The whole crime & justice theme being familiar territory to them :p

What do you guys think? debate and stuff ^^

aparantly EPIC (makers of gear of war and unreal tournament) are going to buy it and resurrect it
Source(s)? I highly doubt Epic would try and resurrect an MMO.

Everyone seems to agree the character customisation is awesome, and that's what the hype was around. Fans filled in the blanks with their own imagination, and that's usually better than the real thing.

I actually feel very sorry for the poor saps who brought this game.

Think about it, you buy a game costing you a fair bit of money and then just like that, the servers close after two or three months after it's release.

that fucking sucks especially for the game not having a SINGLE PLAYER!

So everyone who brought APB practically wasted their money and its not their fault. Realtime worlds should give everyone who brought it a full refund (if it was a Steam purchase that is). They shouldn't of even brought this game out if they knew they where very close to bankruptcy.

Game Servers should be running for a year at the very least and having the servers running for only two months is just a piss-take.

With this and the lazy sequel to crackdown, Realtime worlds have really screwed up and i for one shall not morn their passing.

End rant

MMO Shooter. Died. Wikipedia is your friend
Ok thanks, it's still a bloody weird name though.
Basically what the guy above me said

Wikipedia: An all-points bulletin (APB) is a broadcast issued from one US law enforcement agency to another. It typically contains information about a wanted suspect who is to be arrested or a person of interest, for whom law enforcement officers are to look. They are usually dangerous or missing persons. As used by US police, the term dates to at least 1960.[1] An all-points bulletin can also be known as a BOLO or BOL, which stands for "be on the look-out". Such an alert may also be called a lookout or ATL ("attempt to locate").
Ok that makes sense then.

I knew it was doomed as soon as I heard of small, but ridiculous details like how you can't shoot through windshields.

It died because the devs completely ignored everything players of beta tried to tell them. They didn't care so they created a bad game that no one wanted to play..
