FF 12 for ps2. After playing around for an hour i got bored. New battle system just kind of ruined the game for me when i realized i could just set gambits to everything and not even have to fight.

I bought mirror's edge last saturday, and at first I was amazed, it was such a fun game, but after beating it once, I don't want to play it again, not even for achievements. What was the quickest amount of time a game got boring for you?
Hmmm. Care to sell that copy of Mirror's Edge?

FF7 for the PS1. Tried getting past the first boss a few times before I called it quits and it has never seen the light of day again
you monster...
Oh man...you missed such a treat...
To Aiden: I am a dalek after all you know.

To Root: You mean missing on a boring storyline that's been told so many times in JRPG's?

Spore actually held my interest (barely) until I reached the space stage, which I played briefly and then realized what a waste of time it was. The cell stage was supposed to be an introduction to the basic mechanics of the game. It was supposed to get better and more complex from there. Instead, the game started out mediocre and got steadily worse. By the third stage it seemed as if the developers had forgotten what game they were making.

LOTR: The Third Age.
Bought it on a friend's reccomendation, but turn based combat and RPG levelling quickly got repetitive.
Never played on it since...
I thought that was a great game, and very hard...

I'm sure there have been worse offenders over the years, but Assassin's Creed got to my boredom bone very quickly. That was a total shame as well because I was really looking forward to it.

The Turok games on PC. I did finish Evolution, but it was only after stopping and starting. And cheating. Oh dear lord, the cheating. Ugh.

Also, Painkiller. I know Yahtzee loves it, but simply mowing down enemies - and only mowing down enemies - isn't really my idea of fun. Actually, that may explain why I get so bored of Turok. Hmm.
Turok was piss easy, i killed the last boss by knocking over 2 jungle trees on him and it was over >.<
and the cheating gave that city level with the snipers the ability to not make me smash the disk.

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. Though I loved the multiplayer part of the game, I only got about three levels into the single-player portion. It just didn't interest me. Ironically, I didn't like Bad Company that much either. It seemed too...generic. It actually convinced me not to buy any standard FPS's anymore unless they have something more unique to them. Anyway, both games seemed awesome at first, but quickly lost their appeal to me.

1.Honestly, I found Warhawk for PS3 to be THE most dull experience this generation of popular titles...

If I wanted to play a crappy Battlefront 2 clone... well... I wouldn't...

2.Rainbow Six Vegas is fun, but only when your joking around with your buddies...
I went in expecting a tactical shooter... I came out with Gears of War.

Depends on when you played. I played it when it first came out and since there werent that many RPGs i knew about at 7 i played through it. Well of course i enjoyed it very much and still like the story to this day(the materia thing gets boring after 3 or 4 playthroughs) Most of the haters are people who play it years after it came out and try and compare it with todays standards which are pretty high with all the next-genness to everything

Grand theft auto: san andreas.
I've ranted about why I disliked it in other threads so I'm not going to bother going through that again, but I couldn't get into it.
