Amazon (Temporarily) Unveils GotY New Vegas

Aggrigate scores mean nothing in the end, because it doesnt way certain factors like whether the game was a 20 low budget project/downloadable title or a AAA high budget production. Also, unlike all other Bethesda sandbox games with running on the Gamebryo engine, New Vegas never actually won a Game of the Year award.
Then explain to me why it should be called Game of the Year edition. Just because? Thats basically the only reason they stick Game of the Year edition on any game now. Whats going on here is a marketing ploy, unlike previous Elder Scroll games and Fallout 3 that actually won. Im sorry but you can throw numbers at me all you want but I've played the game through twice (and reviewers dont get nearly that much time to play a game before writing a reviewing), and theres no way it deserves a GoTY.Ultratwinkie said:

What Obsidian means with this GotY edition, is that if they released the game in that state, meaning with the two patches and a bit of extra content, it probably would have picked up GotY somewhere.

Good. Let this b aby come out so i can finally buy and play the game. Once i heard of the notorious crashes on release i was immidiately put off.

Dont blame Bethesda game studios, the ppl who brought you elder scrolls and FO3, blame obsidian (And Bethesda SOFTWORKS who published the game) for giving us a turd-sandwich-with-cockroaches-of-a-game! As for the goty release, they're just retarded, it might just mean that those fellers at obsidian couldn't handle bringin' out the other DLC's they MAY have been planning. At least neither did I witness no actual proof, that ANY other DLC was in production, nor any release date was set. So, the goty release with only one DLC, a shitty one as well, would only bring bad rep to obsidian and beth softworks as a publisher.
No, i blame them for the piece of crap that was Fallout 3. This is probably just so that they can bleed some more money out of the game, since it did not launch without a hitch. I heard some news about a lawsuit with interplay or something. That would be more noteworthy than a game of the year edition of basically an expansion pack.sushkis2 said:

Buy Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition. Even if you already have it. Paying for that game twice is a better idea than paying any amount of money for New Vegas.
(Though if this hasn't discouraged you I've got a deluxe New Vegas box set in near-mint condition, with only the game case itself having ever been opened, priced to move!)
