Thank god! I was hoping worried the mid-nineties and Tim Burton/Neil Gaiman inspired "dark" fairy tales were dead. How silly of me. I forgot that American McGee is still around to keep resurrecting dated trends with dated gameplay.

Can't wait to party like it's 1994 again!

Absolutely, in the first game he was only an advisor, he didn't help in anyway (gameplay wise), it would be simply awesome to bring him into the fight =)

Also, has anyone ever thought what they could do if they would bring her into "reality"?, I mean, they already said the game is going to take place in Wonderland (aka Underland, aka Silent Hill) and in London... it would be pretty sick if she would confuse some pedestrain for a monster... maybe a cuter version of Jack the Ripper?... "Alice, what have you done!".

Wahhooo I just replayed Alice last week it was crazy how good the game looks despite being a decade old, too bad it really could have done with a map screen otherwise it would have been perfect.

Level maps have not been used since 97ish......
So what about darksiders or resident evil 4/5 or borderlands or diablo 2 loads of games still use map screens
Bioshock has one so dose Fallout 3 as dose Metroid prime series, but in general most shooters are to dumb down to need one. Tho the more RPGy/Adventure'y it needs one.

I didn't recall Alice looking quite so much like Alma from Fear...

Anyway. American McGee could use an unqualified hit. I liked the first game. Hope this one is good.

(Any chance they're getting Chris Vrenna back to do the music again? The game's sountrack was awesome.)

I hope this means they'll be rereleasing the original on digital distribution, to remind people why they should care. I never got to play it the first time around.

Brings great joy to my heart to see a trailer that is openly disturbing and likes it. I have been waiting months for even the tiniest snippet of Alice news and this satisfies my cravings to no end. Hell, the first Alice is my fucking profile icon. New trailer and new screens of the game? This could be one of the most artistically beautiful and gothic video games on a next-gen console if EA don't fuck this up. But, as for denting the image of video games being immature, yeah, good to see EA tackling the casual gamer appearance. All we need now is a release date. Please don't die!

Nice, I loved the original Alice back in the day. It remains one of my favourites games. I should replay it before getting this one I think =)

Where did I leave that game *starts looking for it*

Ah! cannot be unseen!
By the sounds of it, the concept is different this time. Instead of Alice's madness being the cause of a dystopian Wonderland there seems to be some kind of outside intruder.
And now a few words from our sponser:

Twas brillig and the slithy toves
did gyre and gimble in the wabe
All mimsy were the borogroves
And the mome raths outgrabe...

What kind of psychiatrist has severed arms hanging from the ceiling? A Wonderland psychiatrist, I guess. A Wonderland psychiatrist who hypnotises you within your own mind..
