If any of you were near me you'd be running in terror from the evil grin that just streaked across my face.

I've always found most stop motion to be unnerving.

And this was no exception.

That was probably the greatest minute of my life spent in the past few weeks. I love American Mcgees Alice. This one already sounds great.

loved the first, hope they dont fuck it up.
wonder how they would do it though, the last one ended without an opening for a sequel.

First time I heard they are going to make a sequel to that game.

Didn't Alice snap out of her psychological trauma when she killed the red queen? They showed her leaving the asylum as well at the end. I'm thinking they had to come up with some "dick move" to justify a sequel.

Looks alright so far. Maybe it will be just as fun as the original?
The voiceover did mention Alice's "miraculous recovery and relapse". I suppose there's still some issues to dig up in ol' Subconsciousland.

Now, I guess we can call it Am-

Yeah, no. Not excited. Played the original, liked it (except for the annoying platforming bits), done with it. Just looks like an unnecessary sequel to me. And yes, slapping a "cured" Alice with more psychosis is indeed a dick-move.

Wait, wasn't the last boss her inner demons? I remember beating a giant enemy in a dark room, and afterwards Wonderland went from wasteland to colorful grass, trees, rainbows and everything. Every good guy came back to life, and everyone was happy.

At least I'm pretty sure thats what happened, its been so long since I played the game, I may go through it again.

Well, one thing to consider is that with a 2011 release date they are probably very early in the development cycle and don't want ANYTHING fans can say they said as a binding influance. As generic as that is, well... they probably don't want fans to be upset if a scene like that has nothing to do with the game at all.

American Mcgee's "Alice" being a fairly well known title.

That said, I am a little miffed at the existance of a remake at the moment, because right now we have the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movie coming out, and also the Syfy series, it seems like they are trying to jump on the bandwagon. Though admittedly I'd think American Mcgee could claim to have been influential in planting the seeds that lead to the recent "Alice Rush".

Geez, Tim Burton announces a new Alice in Wonderland movie, and now I'm seeing it left and right. I guess it was only a matter of time before McGee jumped on the bandwagon in the form of a game sequel.

Why the hell isn't the first one a freakin' movie yet?!
Indeed, I was quite surprised that the new Alice in Wonderland movie from Tim Burton wasn't more like this version of Alice. I've never played the game, but I've seen enough to know that it's quite something....different. I feel very inclined to play it right now, seeing as this trailer is pretty damned awesome.

I remember PC Gamer did a competition when Alice came out and one of the prizes was a six foot tall staute of Alice holding her knife by her side. I wanted it so badly but looking back it occurs to me I would have had no where to put a large statue of a psychotic girl in my room at the time. :(

I would like to ask the same thing. I've been looking everywhere for the game (or anything American McGee, for that matter) and haven't found it.

Where can I get it?

No idea, I know someone who's after it (I am myself, too), and I've never seen it in a store.

I wouldn't be surprised if we got a rerelease in the next year or two, to be honest. Just think how much "dollar dollar" they could make from it.

I'll tell you why it's an "unofficial" trailer. It's because American McGee is a self-absorbed moron who doesn't know what "unofficial" means.

American McGee's Alice was a great game, but everything that man has touched since has turned to shit. This one is being developed the same way that Bad Day LA and Grimm were, so I have no expectations whatsoever.
It seems you're the only person to realize what American McGee has become. I too have fond memories of the first game - but since then, the guy has lost his damn mind.

Obviously, he's been sitting around thinking, "You know, Alice was a great game! I should do that again!" I hate it when a developer that makes crap games can believe creating a sequel to a "good" one will redeem them.

I hope so. The fact is that I live in Australia, which gets everything late, censored, or not at all.
