After playing the beta for over a month... and I had a lot of fun (ran really well for me)

Of course, after uninstalling the beta and installing the full version, I cant even get into the training.

GG,

And a Developer, does exactly that, when things dont need developing, is expendable. Figured you would have given them a month to smooth and polish.

Well, the new America's Army 3 is so shitty, I've tried to register an account for two days and it doesn't work. And many people who made it through can't get past training session or get a crash on the start of a map.

That's what they get for releasing such a broken buggy mess of a game.

Completely agree this is worse then the first release of AA. They should have been set on fire for wasting gov't money to release this broken piece of shit. You can't even complete the fuckin' basic training for Christ's sake they should be glad their asses didn't get shipped to GITMO.
And the fact that I have not been able to play the game because it keeps crashing makes me think that possibly, just possibly, that they were told part way through the development that they were going to be fired right afterwards and consequently just stopped giving a shit.

First word that came to my mind: Owned.

On the serious side. Shit, that seems really unethical to me.
Huh funny it said the exact opposite to me. It is harsh but it is also the law of the jungle so to speak. It is what happens when you have a job that can be finished. When it is finished you may not have a job. If you want a permanent job go for accounting or undertaker.
The law of the jungle. But who makes the jungle harsh as it is? We do. The action is socially unethical, while its business - and I understand that's how the business rolls. It's money. But they could've acted otherwise like sending them for a long holiday. I could keep on writing, but you get my point now.
Hey wait a minute. I had no say in how the jungle works. If it were up to me we would all have the same amount of money and live in a "socialist" society. Or heck just do away with money altogether. It just seems to cause more grief than it is worth. Since no one asked me and decided this is how things gotta work well everyone has to play by said rules.

hm.. guess thats what they call hire 'n fire?

But since most AA games weren't exactly the cream of FPSs its only a pity for the people involved, not for the players.

Has anyone been on the forums, the amount of people complaining how bad the game was coded and how poorly it runs. I get 1FPS, worse than Crysis.
Maybe they were told they were gonna be fired after-all and decided to screw up the game as much as they could.

Hmm for those complaining for two days in a row the Army team that has taken over has released patches. Name me a development house that released patches two days in a row after release? No one that is who.

It's Noel from Least I Could Do Webcomic [http://www.leasticoulddo.com/]. Him waking up has become me on the internet though.

Yeesh. I hope that they weren't suprised there... that seems REALLY sudden. You have to wonder how they feel about that: I'd imagine that several of them are rather pissed off.
All of them probably...

AA3 already works - if you paid attention to the AA forums, the Dev Team said all the Training and Account issues were being caused by an error in the Authentication servers - something which has already been resolved.

For the other issues, like the crashing, they did admit to there being a problem, but they were unable to address it at the time. Now apparently they can't at all.

For those of us who got to play the game, it was quite in-depth, fun and enjoybale. If the rest of you would have the paitence to wait for a patch to resolve the last of the issues, you'd enjoy it too - its not like they made you fork over $60 to play the game.

I hope they left the game in such a bug riddled and confusing state that it will never be fixed.

Thats a real prick move from the American Army.

it does suck for the dev team, but americas army never recieved the recognition that other shooters did, the devs werent taking that big leaps and it was always in the gutter, i mean, compare those graphics to call of duty

"Details of the layoffs, including how many people lost their jobs or whether or not they had been given advance notice, weren't explained."

So why don't we wait until details are released before we attack the Army for being big meanies? For all we know this is simply a case of contract workers completing the contract.

Beat me to it.

I just liked the image of Noel, but... Damn, i may have to change at some point now. *sigh* ah well.

Yeah, I don't think its to do with location. It just cost cutting measures.

Well, as there are no details yet, I don't think we should all jump on the army yet. For all we know the development team might have known of this is advance.

Though if they didn't, then the Army suks.
