My dad's bar manager is nicknamed "woogie" but once I accidentally called him "wookie" so now there are mixed nicknames for him. When I was in ROTC in high school right when I was a freshman my friend asked a random upper classman what nickname I should have and now my nickname is "ninja" I swear for the entire time I was in high school he only called me ninja and I'm pretty sure he didn't even know my real name.

My nickname is Baby Raptor thanks to my roommate. When I first moved in with him, we were dating, so there was the whole pet name thing going on...He tried waking me up for a really stupid reason one morning and I hissed at him. He said "Awe, like a little baby raptor!" The rest is history.

When I was a manager at Arby's, I had one boss who called me Candicane, and most everyone else referred to me as Gigantor. No, I'm not fat, I'm just really tall. 6 foot even barefoot. Which is apparently really rare for women here in Arkansas.

Edit: Thought of another one. Another screen name that I use is SadisticPretzel. I was in the Army back when President Bush had his choking on a pretzel incident, and me and a couple friends spent a fair amount of time joking about it. One of my friends commented that the offending pretzel must have been sadistic. Seeings pretzels are one of my favorite foods, and we were eating soft pretzels at the time of the conversation...

People have been calling me Cosmo since 91', which I find intriguing as I share the same surname as one of the characters in Seinfeld (Kramer). He wasn't called Cosmo Kramer until the fifth or sixth season (I believe, which was in '94 or '95), so that's quite a coincidence (or maybe not? Doo doo doo doo...)

In college we had several;
Wiggles, can't recall how he got that name; i think it involved a girl though...
Tighty, for he wouldn't wear a jock-strap when he was playing baseball this makes some things... really apparent when you wear a baseball uniform.
B Run or B Ron, was on track when he was in high school and ran every day.
Action, simply for his last name was Jackson
Bandit, he had achondroplasia this was a reference to the movie 'Time Bandits' last time I talked to him he STILL has people call him this and he's a medical doctor/chemist.
Sambo, yes he was black but he liked being called that because his surname was 'Sam' It was funny how often we'd be talking to about him and someone would overhear and flip out because we were being 'racist'

Incidentally, all these guys were named Ryan, Bryan, or Brian we collectively as a group decided [a href=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OneSteveLimit]that was too confusing[/a] so they all got nicknames.

I didn't have one except sometimes people called me 'Thorny' or 'Big Thor' because my name is Thor and I am 6'6" (or 198cm)

Funnily enough, people can't think of a nickname for me. They have to pretty much call me by name and attribute my weirdness TO that name.

One of my freinds is called gollum.

Because he looks like gollum.
Someone I know's girlfriend is called that...unfortunately for the same reason.
Do we know the same person? Someone I know had an ex who was dubbed Gollum because .. well you know.

Unfortunately I don't know many people with nicknames and I've never been given one .... I want a nickname.

Within a certain circle of people I'm known as Porridge due to one of them not being able to pronounce my name and accidentally calling me Porridge with it catching on.

I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE SONJA, JUST YOU WAIT!

Funnily enough I'm a guy who's often been called Cookie too, but then my surname is Cooke, so it's pretty much a no-brainer :)

The first time I talked properly with my girlfriend, was on skype, where her name was "titi-chick". Now, I am a 15 year old dude from Denmark, so that was very unusual xD.
To explain, her name is Martine and when she was younger, she had had the nickname titi (pronounced tee-tee), because of the TI in her name.
So when I noticed, I laughed and said "Hello, titty chick!", and that was probably one of our first jokes.

Also, because my girlfriend takes French as a second foreign language in school, while most danish kids take German, I called her a frogsnapper for quite a while xD.

Joebot is actually a nickname of mine, but I really can't remember why. Something robot related.

One of my housemates has endless variations of 'shit-stain' as a nickname. This sounds like a fairly standard/slightly cruel insult nickname. It's not. He crapped himself in our living room once whilst drunk. Quite how that's now funny rather than horrifying, I don't understand.

My friends have been calling me Tilly for the past two years. I'm not entirely sure how it came about.

I like it better than my actual name.

I have a ton of nicknames, three that I get called all the time, "Twin", "Jenderson", and "Fiz".

"Twin" because in my orchestra my stand partner has a last name that's close to mine and our last names get mixed up constantly on the program, so we are the "Twins", it can get confusing to know which one you are actually talking about.

"Jenderson" is part of that story, and is a play on my name, and "Fiz" is an inside joke.

One of my friends sometimes called me "Patchy" to piss me off, since I have Tritchotillomania (means I pull out my hair).

Strangely, a nickname I picked up was "Semi-Boner". No, it's not because I failed in bed or anything. My first name is Colin, and a friend, who's a total goof, thought out loud:
Semi-Colon
Semi-Colin
Semi-Pherson!(Pherson being my actual nickname.)
Then during computer class, sometime after the above nickname, some friends changed the folder names of every person in the class and made their last name "Boner". So they replaced my nickname and it became Semi-Boner.

Yeah, it was weird.

I once had a headmaster called 'Tommy Fly'. Strange thing is, he had been teaching at that school for over twenty years, and I spoke to an alumni a good ten years my senior who informed me that the moniker was around during his time as well.
