This is mostly for closure, because me and dad have been racking our brains around this for a while and can't think of anyone. Allow me to explain.
My dad has an idea for a movie, WWII, called "It's Always Been All About the Money" (Working Title).
Basically we just have characters, and we're going to make the story from that. There are five so far.
Ed Asner we think would be perfect for the billionaire... That's pretty much it, that's his personality, his drive, everything. He wants a bunch of patents, I don't know, it's all Dad's thing. He wants to know about all their experiments, he wants all the money, all the credit, none of the work. He wants all the files brought in, in tact, and he doesn't want to have to do anything, or pay anyone to do anything more than bare minimum.
Stephen Colbert as the millionaire protegee. He wants to be the man in charge, and he doesn't care what he has to do. He's not really working against the billionaire though, he's actually doing what the billionaire wants, using all the connections he can, and being the frontman.
Pierce Brosnan was someone a person brought up. Dad says he'd be good for the British soldier who the protegee uses. He's right high ranking, bribable, knows Churchill too. A bit pushed to the outside, jealousy, or lost command, or something (I'm getting this all as dad talks).
Woddy Allen may be the closest thing to "good" guy, or at least, the main character. He's the billionaire's secretary of 50 years. He wants all the right things done, he wants the Jews freed and he wants the war over, but it's not happening. We basically get things told through his perspective, I think.
And then there's the character we don't have an actor for. He's the guy who, it doesn't matter what rank he is, he commands everyone, he can be a bloody private, he just waves his gun at people like he's bored of the war. He has a personality that's just entitled to be in control, or as dad says it "He's the kinda guy that would go into the restaurant and order something, and not be expecting a bill. And they wouldn't give him a bill either." Not really intimidating in look, or personality. Intimidating in a way that's just oh-so nonchalant. He yells at nobody, he just dominates.
Who can play that last guy. Oh, and opinions. I'm sure dad'll find some interesting viewpoints here.
