Well, nothing.
Clannad: After Story came pretty damn close a few times, but i held firm.
I agree, that got me pretty close, but what similar things have happened to me in real life. So Clannad would of had to went a little further to make me feel so sad I cry.
You guys are stronger than me. I cried watching Clannad.

Never actually cried over one, but the bit when metal sonic sacrifices himself in sonic the movie made me sad when I was young.

Only once to my memory, one manly tear was shed for
Ace and Whitebeard's deaths in One Piece
Other than that I've gotten damn sad or depressed, but not enough to cry out right.

i honestly dont see how people can cry at a film/programme, especially an animated film/programme, im not hating on anyone that has, it just confuses me...
You need to be immersed in a story to believe it, and if you believe it (not for real, but while your reading/watching something), it can affect your emotions.

I'm sorry if that sounded really faggy, but explaining something like that is like trying to explain love to a robot;
part of you is trying to explain what it means to be in love, but without mentioning the sex stuff, so your only able use the words that make you like a complete pussy.
And part of you is waiting for the robot's eyes to go red and for it to beep: "DOES. NOT. COMPUTE!", so you can know when to run.
The point is, it's hard to explain "sensitivity", and also, I think your a robot in disguise.

OT:
Maple Town made me cry. Bobby bear scared me when he was angry.
Just kidding, I don't remember an Anime that made me cry. But the G.I.T.S. S.A.C. 2 theme used to get me watery-eyed every time. And in BLEACH (the manga, fuck the show), when I got to the part where Orihime got in her first fight with a hollow, and she got the crap kicked out of her, I was so scared for her. That issue ended on a cliffhanger (will she survive!?), and until my library got the next book in, I would get depressed just thinking about it. It really wasn't so bad, but she was so lightheart and innocent, and to me, it was fucked up at the time.

Closest I came was the part in Claymore during the flashback where Claire gets her voice back.

Some stuff in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood as well.

Clannad and Clannad After Story like many others in this thread has made me shed the manly tears of manlyness. Both Full Metal Alchemist animes also made me cry because of
the death of Hughes. It's his daughter at the funeral that gets me, also Hughes was awesome.

I don't think I ever cried since I turned, what, fourteen, but Clannad: After Story is probably the closest I've gotten. Not only the only anime to do so, the only thing at all.

I didn't cry though, OK? I just got very close.

for me the only fiction to ever make me cry is anohana, and it had me straight out bawling the whole way through the last episode, and well after that

I cried once during Onegai Sensei. And many anime have brought me to the verge of crying, but i'm far too manly for that shit.

Elfen Lied made me cry and confront my own bleak views on existence and such. Heh. I watched the whole series in a couple of days and spent another entire day weeping sporadically. And, uh, Bokura ga Ita is also incredibly depressing. I mean, on the surface it's like this high school romantic comedy with a stupid female heroine but then you keep watching and all this TERRIBLE stuff gets unearthed and it just depresses me.

Then again, a lot of stuff makes me cry. I'm pretty sure I cried a few times in Gurren Lagann, just because people died.

Fullmetal Alchemist (the first anime) ending. Not to the point of sobbing or anything, but I was pretty much numb for a week afterwards. Extremely depressing ending.

Also, the bridge scene at the end of Nanoha, but I wasn't entirely sober at the time so I'm not sure that one counts.

The only one that brought out the tears was Clannad: After Story. Came close with this one:

Mainly the later scenes with Kaede as they brought back unwanted memories. *shudder*

Some other ones that came close:

Azumanga Daioh - The graduation scene. Only reason I didn't cry was that Chiyo did if for me.

Fullmetal Alchemist - You know the scene. Don't pretend you don't!

Lucky Star - Finished it on my last day of high school. Nuff said.

Berserk - What happens in the final episode is horrible enough to make me feel sorry for the biggest jerk in the show.

Misato's death. Was too shocked to cry.

Ga-Rei -Zero- - The Hospital scene.

Samurai 7 - Again, the final episode, but this time everyone is likable.

Some moments within the Dragonball series made me either tear up or almost tear up.

In the orginal Dragonball, when Goku as a kid finally finds out the masked guy he fought was his dead grandpa after fighting him. Almost teared up.

In DBZ when Gohan finally destoryed Cell, then the episode after that with Goku saying he didn't want to be revived. Almost teared up with those two. Did shed a tear or two for the ending of DBZ. Also shed some tears for the final moments of the final episode of Dragonball GT. Yes it was a crappy show successor to DBZ, but I couldn't help within my mind at that time that it was the end of the series, and you'd have to say goodbye to the characters.

Also yeah, funeral of Hughes in Fullmetal Alchemist also brought some tears.
