Because paying money to play your games online is sane? Or having to buy a wirless router cause Microsoft is too lazy to include built-in wireless capability? Sure I'm the crazy one, I mean atleast you guys have motion control that don't make you look like a bunny on PCP. Oh wait....

The PS3's price tag doesn't cover even half of that. I'm happy Microsoft let me pay for what I want instead of giving me things I might not give a crap about.

Alright, two responses to this, one fanboy one reasonable.

Well of fucking COURSE the PS3 will win at least second place in the near future! (got to be humbled by the Wii's success at least...) Just this year and next we have and we're going to be seeing a bazillion and one awesome games coming out for it, Uncharted 2, InFamous, Killzone 2, Ratchet and Clank Future, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, White Knight Chronicles, The Last Guardian, Fat Princess, not to mention the freakin' PSP Go! with it releasing a bunch of games like Grand Turismo PSP and Resident Evil for it with Patapon 2 thrown in the mix you can't lose!

To all the people who are saying that new generations of consoles will be out by then, quite frankly I hope not. Right now it just seem really early to me, though 2015 is farther away than I might thing, though at the same time closer than I want it to be.

It could just be me (and the ten million other xbl gold members), but I kind of think that paying a tiny amount of money each month (like the price of getting fast food one less time a month) to play games online is sane. It's definitely not insane, to say the very least.

I'll take it that "wirless router" means "wireless network adapter for 360", and will respond as such. It's not laziness on microsoft's part so much as a realization that most people hardwire ethernets into their console to get a better connection than a wireless router typically gives a wireless card. I use wireless for my laptop only, and if I'm downloading something or using a connection dependent stream, I'll hardwire if at all possible. If there was a 360 with wireless capabilities for 20$ more, I probably would still choose the one without wireless, to save myself from paying for a useless feature (for me personally).

For your last point, I hate the natal. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I hate all motion control crap though, including the Wii and the PS3s magic wand things. If I could purchase the rights to motion controlled videogames, I would. Then I would never release those rights to any developer ever, and I would keep them till I died, then I'd put in my will someone who shared the same vision of the future as myself. A future where...people sit down with a controller in their hands, and play videogames.

I hate to burst their ignorant bubble but I think the PS3 will be a long forgotten platform by then. Don't get me wrong I own a PS3, unfortunately they are shafting themselves by overpricing their product, they already screwed me over by $100 by bringing out the 80GB again almost right after I bought the 40 for the same price.

Too bad the next gen will be out before then. Sony blew it this gen, the PS3 is too expensive, Ubisoft is planning on dropping them, they refuse to cut the price. This gen is a flip from last gen, the PS3 = xbox and xbox360 = PS2.

The PS3 = the PS3. Xbox had the "new guy" disadvantage, but it was still a great game console. They also really helped with getting consoles online. PS3 was just a loser to the other two, while last gen, the Xbox just had to catch up.

I'm sorry its just I'm one of those people where if I've been getting something for free most of my life, and then you start charging me for it.... Well then you can sod off. Also I'm one of those people that kind of forced into getting wireless because I live in house where the xbox is on one floor and the router is on another. So unless I want to start drilling hole in my floors, (which would probably expose all those dead hookers I have hidden) I'm really forced to buy one of these wireless widgets. My only real complaint about it is that its too expensive. I mean cmon I paid 90 bucks for a used one, I'd hate to see the pricing for a new one. Microsoft just seems to be leeching every cent out of their consumers that they can, hell, I would even pay for a gold account if it actually gave me something extra like some free dlc maps or something to that nature. But all having a gold account does is let you fully enjoy your games (then again I'm a multiplayer junkie) so why should I have to pay 60 bucks then some more hidden fees just play the games that I already payed for?

then look at top ten sales charts almost half have been Wii titles for almost a year now
