If you think that's funny Then you should see whats goes down during election season. I always thought politics was like if the cast of dragon ball z was replaced by a bunch of old rich dudes, 5 hours of yelling and spamming flaming money balls at each other.

I take offence to that last one!

Our news reporters are naturally beautiful, your news reporters need make up and plastic surgery to make them look like that.

And at least the Lord's Reform debate goes somewhere. American news programmes are all the same:

'The liberals attempt to pass a bill today fell through when the Republicans voted against it like they always do. We now go to our man on the spot, who has been getting the opinion of the people.'

'I THINK THE SOCIALIST NAZI OBAMA IS BRINGING THIS COUNTRY DOWN!'

'hat's very interesting, now we turn to a democrat supporter.'

'THE REPUBLICANS EAT BABIES AND WANT TO RAPE ALL WOMEN'

'A balanced debate there, now we return you to the studio.'

In the words of Dara O'Briain 'bloke who's a professor of denistry for forty years does not have a debate with some eejit who removes his teeth with string and a door!' People who have no idea about what they're talking about have no business being on the television.

Less attractive?
Allow me to introduce you to Susanna Reid.

You also neglected to mention that you should also drastically reduce the amount of fear mongering in the news.

Screw you man, Lords reform is important!
Yeah, exactly! It has severe implications for the democratic future with regards to unbiased representation. But... it is quite boring.

The left are too far right in the UK in my opinion.
Yeah, but let's face it, in a democracy political parties are always going to be too far towards the center for some people simply because the extremes themselves are undemocratic by nature (i.e. communism and fascism).

Amen, brother.

It's funny to think that Republicans today would call almost any Republican from 10 years ago a disgusting socialist. Hell, by their standards today, Reagan was a goddamned liberal.

On second thought, no, it's not that funny.

*whispers* Psst... Carter is British... or... non-American, my bad.

I would agree with that statement just so that reality TV would be scrapped by definition.

Unless the news programme is the one show in which case its: "thank you for that deeply moving account of the famine in Mozambique - and now the Lenny Henry's going to talk to us about pasties!"

I don't really get it.

Then again, that kinda sums up my whole understanding of American politics.

Fah! I am a proper English-man! With a top hat and a monocle and tea drinking while speaking the Queen's Received Pronunciation! I can tell from his humour that Carter is one of the base Cockney folk!

Never mind Susanna Reid, get a load of this stunner

aaaaaaah Sir Trev... A god walking amongst mere mortals

OT - love the comic. British political debate is exactly the same. Playing the blame game is an easy way to avoid actual issues I guess.

Honestly Mr. Carter I'd take your boring house of lords giving speeches on land reform any day of the week over this clown car of political discourse used in America.

Oddly enough, I'm pretty sure Death co-opting with the Republican news is the exact plot to the new Devil May Cry. That one panel looks to be a better story than what's being shown in DMC.
You sir, have just won this thread. I fucking love you.

That is all.

My favorite part was when Will described the Tea Party as the right-wing version of the more militant hippy movements of the 60's, only now we're giving them seats in Congress. It's accurate to a really quite worrying degree.

That brought me to tears. So beautifully written and well said. Carry on good sir.
