I tend to smack talk whenever I gain a level in farmville. "WHO'S LEVEL 79 NOW, BITCHES?!" my status would announce.

Yes, I'm kidding.

I only smack talk when playing Cooking Mama.

I smack talk parents of children whom let say, an 8 or 9 year old play...dead space 2? Someone else on my team or the other team is usually swearing, so when the kid starts crying and puts momma on the mic, I call her out on why she lets such a young kid place a game where the core premise is to cut off the arms and legs of anything that moves. I always get the "I can raise my child however I want" sort of speel, then a threat to "call microsoft on me" and that sort of shit. However I never swear, never raise my voice, and just calmly lay out a civil arguement as they slowly and surely dip further and further into a demeaning sort of manner of arguement (swearing, insults, etc etc.)

Its fun catching people in corners like that. They know what they do is idiotic yet they still do it, and when called out in it become as children themselves.

I'm insanely polite in video games. I thank people for things, I congratulate, I share items, I'll be the decoy, or provide covering fire e.t.c.

All smack talk online does is show how insecure you are.

I am quite mild-mannered, actually. If I ever "smack talk", it's because I've given up on winning.

"LET'S SEE IF I CAN WIN THIS RACE BY DRIVING THE COURSE BACKWARD! YEAH!"
"Aww man! You knocked me off the level again! All right FINE! You know what I'm going to do now? YOU KNOW WHAT I'M GOING TO DO NOW?! I'M GOING TO BREAK DANCE! YEAH! SHEIK'S THE SMASH KING! HAHAHA-wait, I just breakdanced myself off the level..."

Playing with others?: I'm actually pretty nice. I don't really grief anyone if my team is winning. I congratulate on great moves or great shots, and I try to keep the game light and fun for everyone by making jokes. So even us losing doesn't seem so bad.

By myself: ALL THE TIME! I smack talk enemy NPCS constantly. "Oh yeah, you like that?!" "You want some more, NO PROBLEM!!!! lol

I guess that's another bit question I could include.

"Do you talk shit online or offline?"

Of course, then I'd be admitting that I only talk shit offline. It feels a little silly demeaning an AI that can't even hear me, but it actually helps to immerse myself into the experience. For example, I feel more in tune with the character of Scorpion when I say the kind of stuff posted in the OP.

Well, I'm far too shy on online multiplayer to actually say anything lest my mighty allies and opponents judge me, but when the headset's off...

"Okay, just a few more kills, few more kills, c'mon, jus- I WILL DESTROY YOUR HOME AND EVERYTHING YOU LOVE - Yes! Levelled up. Right, couple more then..."

"Put the thing there. No, there. There. Where I'm pointing. Are you - are you actually doing this? You think it goes there? That isn't even a thing! Put it there! For the love of- [gunfire ensues] Good. It's there."

"I swear to God if you kill me I will... become... angry and - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHY WOULD YOU EVEN DO THIS? WHY? WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM!?"

Etc. etc. I'm a good sport, I swear :)

Only splitcreen. We have some rowdy 4 player team deathmatches in MW2, and there's a lot of witty banter to be had, such as "YOU GOT DICKED YOU DIRTY WHORE!" and "YEEEEAAAAH *****!!! FUCKING GET DOWN."

This kind of talk usually comes in after a couple of beers.

I only talk smack if I'm sitting next to the person I'm playing against. It's just more fun to see there reaction.
