nudity in games is nothing new, there were pornographic atrai games in the 80's before the gaming crash and I remember duke nukem having strippers all over the place that would show you their assets. and really, the human body is no big deal.

What about the Butchers chamber in Diablo? Full of naked people.

And Duke Nukem 3D had strippers. Even THAT was low-profile.

Guess games just weren't big news items back then. Not until the whole Columbine/DOOM debacle.

The media didn't start realising that PC gamers were under the age of 40 until the late 90s (or in some cases, that you could even play games on a PC...)

Doom is the first game I remember kicking up a bit of a fuss - for gore and Satanic imagery - but it wasn't enormous at the time of release (1993ish); it got more notorious after Columbine.
