I was inspired by the 'How do you deal with pain' thread to create this, and my question to you, fellow escapists, How do you deal with your anger do you hold it in release it imedietly, wait to let it out until it can be focused for something more productive(sports, martial arts, etc.)

Me myself keep it all in, probably not the healthiest thing to do as apparently it cause me to have a stomach ulcer, but it went away...

What about you guys?

I let it sit inside of me. I've yet to act on anger that I've had bent up for years. I believe that it does slowly get released while doing everything though.

I refuse to let things get to me. If something makes me mad, it lasts for an hour or two before I start laughing about it. Works wonders.

I don't actually get angry too often. I get annoying or irritated, but not angry.

I'll get pissed off at bad games every now and again and the walls have suffered several stab wounds because of that, but otherwise I'm dandy!

I generally keep it inside.
Unless someone does something that truly warrants my wrath.

But I don't get angry for long periods, its more severe irritation on the short term.

I get frustrated at games pretty regularly, and then I just let out my anger in the form of curse words, but otherwise I don't unleash my anger for a lack of physical strength.

I keep it bottled up inside which has caused be to become semi-detached from people, sarcastic as hell and a wee bit cynical.

But I'm pretty damn happy overall.

Well it is this let it out you'll feel better bullshit that is far worse than keeping it in. Anger gives you a rush so you "feel better" but all you start doing is getting angrier about smaller things to get that next rush, that is why those dick heads who need "anger management" are like that.

Most of the time I let it go. Even when things do push my buttons I can let the anger go at will these days. Animal cruelty is one exception - that causes me to breathe fire and kill kill kill.

I've tried to get angry a few times but I'm way too mellow, I got punched in the back of the head once back in high school and I responded with "Dude you gotta work on your fist, it's too loose"... But I have been known to snap about random things, like when I lost my keys in a foot of snow. in fact the only time I ever came close to punching someone out was when a kid made fun of the speech impediment I had when I was 14 (I talk fine now, it was temporary) and just kept saying c'mon Ja-Ja-Ja Jason, what are you gonna d-d-d-do. thank God the bell rang or else that kid would have had a pen in his eye and several broken ribs.

Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.

So, don't worry, be happy!

And else a good fps always helps.

I usually just don't bother with it. Too much effort. I've only gotten really angry twice since the last year, and only got to yelling in one of them. Good thing I do, cause when I get that angry, I usually end up wanting to rip someone's eyes out, and then only cause they deserve it.

I suppress it. And have done for many years. This wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't naturally a fairly angry person with an insanely short fuse.

I've done it for so long now, this list of anger suppression symptoms [http://www.angermanagementps.com/suppressed-anger.html] might as well be a character bio on me.

How I deal with anger depends on the situation. If its only a flash of anger, I bottle it up and swallow it. If there's a slow build up of irritations/anger etc, I end up shouting or, sometimes, silently fuming to myself.
