Maybe you should try watching the ones that are specifically in the comedy genre then, if those shows aren't funny to you. Aren't the ones in the OP supposed to be more action oriented anyway?
yes, but the problem is that I watch the action genre for the action, I just wish that they would stay in focus of their genre like cowboy bebop or death note did
That's just a common problem with any Shonen series. Every series you listed in you OP is from Shonen magazine. It's aimed at little boys for it's primary audience (since Shonen means young boy). Death Note was one too, but that one didn't have the problem in the discussion. Anyway, there's plenty of way, way better series in terms of action out there, with no humor mixed in at all. You just have to avoid Shonen, and pretty much all the overrated stuff.

There's a great deal of cultural context that is completely not on the radar of western audiences when they watch anime. The humour is part of that. I had a friend who works in Japan and occasionally brings back goodies translate for me some Japanese comics in the humour section of a Japanese newspaper. When she did I was like "but... that just isn't funny, on any level". She was like "Yeah, I know. For us, it's not. Japanese humour, it's real different".

Humour isn't the only thing that is largely missed. Western audiences see anime in a way which is absolutely nothing like how Japanese people see it.

Take naruto, bleach, fully metal alchemist or whatever, and they all seem to have really dumbs gags in it.
Are you watching these in Japanese with subtitles or the English dubs? If its the Japanese version, it could be due to cultural differences, as many others have pointed out. If its the English dub, the English writers (who usually can't write themselves out of a paper bag) tend to shoehorn a lot of crappy jokes in.

Overall, though, I'm betting on cultural differences. The show Yakitate Japan, for example, is hilarious, but only if you understand the all the play on words (the title itself is a pun), which is hard to do if you don't know Japanese.

It really depends on your tastes. Most of the action ones I watch have some sub-genre to them, like Mehcs, or Psychological. I can give you a site with a ton, and I mean tons of anime to watch, and you can search it all in specific categories of genre, but I'm not sure if I can post a link like that in the forums.

And there's an archive site that has a very detailed search function to put in any genre you want, at any weight you want, with multiple entries, and it will bring up a list of almost everything every with those things. But again, I can PM it, since I don't want to risk getting modded (incase it's counted as advertising). Just send me a PM and I'll send the links if you are interested.

I tend to stick with subs, I try to keep it as original as I can, but sometimes if the voice acting is really good and don't confuse me, like cowboy bebop, I'll watch that. But 95% of the time I'll watch subs

nah, I already have sites that I use. I'm just asking what your personal favs are. I tend to enjoy the action genre, usually non-mech. I did although REALLY enjoy gurren lagann.

FLCL. It's quite hilarious.
I like Hetalia, the episodes are short, (5 minutes at the most) and it's kinda crackish with how sterotypical the characters are. You can watch the whole thing in like a day if you're really bored.

For me, I'd probably say Mobile Suit Gundam: 08th MS Team is my favorite. It's a short OVA set, but it's favorites in terms of the action genre.

Um, it's humor from Japan so what do you expect, the same differences are in American and British humor.

Saying that is like saying "Live action tv humor is bad", there are all kinds of geners and targets of anime just like tv. And the examples you showed are all in the same genre targeted at teenagers or younger audiences.

In adition "I pity the fool that can't laugh at potty humor"

Its seems that anime has some really bad taste in humor, and the more I watch it, the more it annoys me. Take naruto, bleach, fully metal alchemist or whatever, and they all seem to have really dumbs gags in it. Take this episode of soul eater for instance, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TZuCHIgQwM skip to 6min 30sec and watch this toilet gag that they have and tell me you don't want to slam your head on the nearest object after seeing that! I mean, it was starting to get good around episode 20's and I was getting into it, but as soon as that arc was over then they need to play stupid ass episodes like this!
I've watched Soul Eater, it's stupid on purpose man, and it's Full Metal Alchemist not fully. =P

Not sure about Naruto I don't like that one but with Bleach they do it in a way where it's not annoyingly retarded, like that Family Guy has gotten.

Generalization is bad. You have to dig for the good, original comedies out there.

But, watch Azumanga Daioh. Or read Yotsuba&. If you don't find those funny, you lack a sense of humor. It's the purest comedy.

Humor in Anime....That is way to broad to make any comparison that sticks.
There is some really good comedy in some anime's, but not in all comedy oriented ones.
Just like normal TV, what floats my boat, might be your titanic.
I really liked GTO for example, but i laughed hardest at: Golden boy [http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=355]

its the anime youre watching, those are all anime that fall into the category of comedy and is intended for 12-14 year olds. so you saying that anime has a bad taste of humour based of just watching a couple of the same type of anime, is equivelent to watching a couple of reality shows and concluding that all american tv is complete shit.

For example, Hellsing has comedic bits that are small little tidbits that are completely free of any toilet humour, it is not a comedy anime. the comedic section only break up the horrific violence.
