Anime Review: Full Metal Panic

One of the few mecha series I like (largely because it's not about the mecha).

But yes, review was spot on about the lack of decisiveness regarding what it wants to be, is it comedy, or is it action? It never quite pulls of comedy-action. Unlike the Second Raid, whose bad guy (voiced by the awesomeness that is Houchu Ohtsuka) probably makes it ten times better than the first series, which managed to iron out this flaw.

Also, I got a little annoyed, because Tessa was my favourite character, and her backstory was not developed enough (though I may be wrong there as I haven't watched it for... like ages).

Student Council President: work of genius, his character (though I'm recalling more Fumoffu here).

It is understood that Full Metal Panic isn't perfect, and it can be a little jarring how it switches moods from scene to scene, but... Sagara Sousuke is freaking perfect! He has just the right touch of military edginess mixed with "wtf"-ness that needs to be seen to be believed. He thinks a condom is a portable water carrier (1st episode). Sigh.

Full Metal Panics` a really good show and fumoffus` great too. highly recommended. Isn't this review a little late though?
