I only managed to find my way out of that maze through blind luck and a strange little self-taught technique I learned, which applies for all mazes. By always touching the left hand side of a maze, you can always find your way out - it'd take you forever to get out - but it will work eventually.LadyRhian said:Gods, yes. There was one side of the maze, that if you ended up in it, was all dead ends, so that is all you heard, over and over and over again. And this was before a lot of people had internet, so if you got stuck, you were toast- you either worked it out yourself, or gave up in frustration. Still, 7th Guest was the first game that really freaked me out. You didn't want to be stuck in that maze at 2 in the morning, because you'd jump out of your skin when Stauf unleashed that "Feeling... LONELY?" line.
And some of the sequences with the other guests at the mansion were truly creepy, like the one with the old lady wanting to be young again, and she ends up turning into a baby. Or Mr. Knox and his lover, his head turning into a goat, and the woman losing her skin. And the white ghost in the corridor... it had some really freaky stuff in it.
Yeah that one was pretty funny the first couple times, then it became a "no shit sherlock" kind of annoyance. I still liked it, but some of the dialog in that game is pretty annoying.Inkidu said:"The [insert boss name] has appeared. It's the killer. Gee, disembodied voice of no value to the narrative whatsoever, I'm not sure my gaming-for-the-entirety-of-my-natural-life brain could have conceived of the concept of boss fights (or boss runaways) without your random and near-Engrish help.
I'm so glad I traded in that horrible game.

Hell yeah! I sided with the Reapers in the end simply because she won me over with her overly dramatic dialogue and oh so sexy delivery.English Stew said:Probably "My name is BO-LO SAN-TOH-SEE, leadah of the revolutionary army known as the REEE-PAHS."
