Funny how so many people on the Escapist (Not really funny, its kinda sad for a forum I had some respect for) takes AnonOp as Anon when its is only in itself. But a splinter-group. That craves attention every time some other group of anon takes some kind of action against something. If people leave it, it merely means that there will be less people to talk to the media, of the people who probably arent supposed to even care about the media in the first place.
Call yourself a name, and you can use that name. Go against ideals that name stand for, and you might still call yourself by said name. But you will not have said name because you have gone against the name and the name therefor cannot be yours.
Everyone can say they are in Anonymous. But I think it is only those who participated in the hacking operations and participated in the peacefully organized Protests against Scientology thats truly Anon. The rest are just Media-whores and trolls.
I honestly still respect those who call themself by the name and do what they are supposed to do, the rest of them can go fall into some ditch and stay there with their laptop lurking on 4Chan.
Buttomline. The man didnt QUIT Anonymous and created a Splintergroup. He left a Splintergroup, with members of said Splintergroup, to form a new Splintergroup. Misleading title is misleading.
