Wow, i watched the slide-show, pretty damn interesting, but i do imagine lot of "WTF " or just plain wrong stories will be told. The slide-show was funny, especially the part when he set the tree on fire.

But watching it i was a bit worried. This is the era when gamers can do almost anything n a game (Like GTA San Andreas), and when people play those games, most of them go crazy. Like literally, they start killing innocent people and all sorts of stuff. Freedom is dangerous. I do imagine a lot of stories will be ended by Player 1 writing something like "kill myself" or "drink acid" or something like that. But hey, maybe it will happen, maybe not.

And also, at the start of the slide-show, when the guy said "You can do everything" then i thought that the player will write something like "Kill this guy" or "kill the wife". Seriously, a lot of gamers would have done that. Me included? Most likely.

It feels kinda like a classic point and click adventure game meats little big planet meats D&D.
Cool I'm getting this as soon as I start a job in September.(till then there would be a lot of stories ready to be played)

You know that what you said is rather ironic, considering your avatar. To be honest now, this games's success will all depend on the community, so it's still rather soon to tell if this will be the success that will slowly revive classic point and click adventures and make us change our schedules to (re)play this game every weekend, or just a one time little cute but not so attractive thing.

Bet some people still pirate it; talk about having no shame (or pride or decency).

It's an interesting set up, although I've never been able to get into Indie games that much. I did orgasm on the audiosurf demo though, maybe I'll pay the Steam store a visit...

Hmmm... $1.75 is kinda steep. Maybe if they wanted to pay me a buck, then I'd download it...
That's a bit harsh, don't you think? Admittedly I only paid a penny for World of Goo, but even so, I think for a game that looks as interesting in it's concept as this does, $1.75 to cover the creator's costs is perfectly reasonable and a very wise move. I'll have no problem paying that amount, especially if I then get to set fire to trees and stuff in-game :D.

Lol

Anyone want to play it with me?
Sure, I'll play with you as long as you be the controller. I can't get the hosting thingamabob to work.

It's a little scary being a controller, it takes a lot of work and you have to give the viewer your IP and basically open up your computer to attacks, once I find a couple matches on Sidtube.com I'll take a shot at being a controller.

Why is that ironic? Monkey Island 2's graphics were great at the time.
Graphics is one aspect where you can easily see how much work went into a game, and because there's no demo it's the only aspect I can judge the game at the moment.

Yeah, but graphics aren't everything. I though it's ironic, because in an adventure game the puzzles and story are the best part of it.
I mean Myst was graphically and gameplay-wise top noch, but I prefer my adventure games challenging and fun, rather than eye-catchy(even though I do enjoy stylish games too, like the SE Monkey Island), and judge them first of on gameplay, and story elements.
Graphics come second(or maybe quite last in adventure games).
+ I felt that the idea of this game is rather interesting(neither I, am buying "the whole do everything you like scenario", but this seems like the only game that comes close to such a thing)

It was just a joke. It would be utterly ridiculous if someone truly thought $1.75 was too much to pay for anything. I'd certainly pay that, probably even $5 or so, for a game like this.

Fixed that for you.
Regardless of how needy they are It's still false advertising.
For fucks sake it's $1.75. The only "false advertising" would be more thanks to the headline for this article. Right on their page it states clearly that is the minimum.

Anyone saying the LESS THAN 2 dollars is a steep price is clearly an idiot.

Sleep is Death may not have the prettiest looks, but it is THE most unique gaming experience you can have.

Once you figure out how to slightly up the time limit and get a hang of the controller's side OR find someone really dedicated to the role, the possiblities of stories you can tell and play are practically limitless...

That should really be worth a few lousy bucks...
