I'm looking for some freeware music programs. I would use Mario Paint, but it runs like shit on my computer.
Can anyone suggest some good free programs?

I mean something like the program Music Ace that schools use. You put the notes down, and you can play them on your computer.BonsaiK said:Do you mean sheet music making, music recording, music sample sequencing, MIDI controlling, what? "Music making program" is a bit vague.
I dare say you're going to have to cough up at least some money. Programs like that are generally pretty involved and I don't know of a free one that's actually any good.Soviet Heavy said:I mean something like the program Music Ace that schools use. I think you could try Finale Notepad free.(Assuming the free edition still exists) It's good for charting things in standard notation and it converts to guitar tab.Soviet Heavy said:I'm looking for some freeware music programs. I would use Mario Paint, but it runs like shit on my computer.
