The Man With No Name is a really good Doctor Who/Firefly crossover.
Also Cupcakes is a great story and i've never even seen MLP. How could anybody call such a story bad? I was actually shaking at the end of it.

I'd like to third Tiberium Wars and make a claim for The Last Spartan. [http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5939286/1/The_Last_Spartan]

It's a Halo/Mass Effect crossover that almost seamlessly blends the two universes together (I say almost because of time differences between the games). Everyone's in character and the Covenant races fit in like they were there the whole time.

It's still in progress, and you can guess who the main character is from the title.

Draco Malfoy The Amazing Bouncing Rat is one of the funniest books that I have ever read. There is even a short sequel. Favorite quote:

"Draco didn't believe in beating around the bush. Just beat the bush. Teach it a lesson."

If you like your Kingdom Hearts, but hate its fandom, you can't possibly go without reading Those Lacking Spines.

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2903858/1/Those_Lacking_Spines

Fun Fact: It was originally written as an intentionally bad trollfic, but the dude had so much fun writing it, he decided to take it "serously". It shows, it's really good!

Also, if you like bot KH and The World Ends With You, then you MUST check this one crossover out: Playing For Keeps!

Also, if you like Cave Story, then you might appreciate this novelization of the game.

Okay, that's enough outta me. Happy reading!

Im working on a Soul Cal fan fic that takes place more int he Soul Cal IV game though right now Im at a half way pint with writers block/no urge to really write it, and then after that no urge to type it. Which is the same problem I ran into with my TWEWY fan fic i was writing, but that turned into an online RP on another forum board.

I wouldnt really know if it counts, but I would say the pokemon nuzlocke comics/story-lockes are pretty good depending on who you get. They're more of lets plays, but they're still varied enough i think especially when the pokemon are given different personalities.

...

Other then that, not really sure.

Oddly enough, the best fanfic I've ever read is a Power Ranger one, Dawn of Primacy.

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3515196/1/MMPR_Dawn_of_Primacy_Dark_Maelstrom

The amount of detail this guy put into is insane. Considering the fact that many things are never explained in the show itself since they were focused on selling toys get a decent amount of focus, and that the author links elements and characters from the various connected and disconnected seasons, it makes the perfect read for an adult who watched the show back in the day.

It really depends on what you're looking for to say the least, and there's a lot of choices.

I think in the end it also depends on what you may consider 'good' since everybody has a different idea of just what 'good' is.

TV Tropes has a page titled 'FanFic Recommendations which are broken down into broad categories such as Anime/Manga, Western Animation, Video games, Live action and so forth, and from there Individual titles. Like any wiki, it's far from 'complete' but it's a start.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FanFicRecommendations
As much as I love TV Tropes, I picked a Strawberry Panic fanfic from there once. So many typos and grammar problems. The concept was really cool, but the execution was not. Possibly because I haven't read the original manga/light novel yet so some references are going over my head but a good deal of it feels OOC.

Alternatively, I'm reading a Madoka Magica fanfic from their recommendation and it's amazing. Hope you like Kyou/Saya.

Magical Girls and all that stuff don't exist. Sayaka and Kyouko still have issues though. 9 chapters in and they're still teasing, which is fine by me. I want to see the next chapter though!

Well, there's Red Vs. Blue by Roosterteeth. It takes place in the halo universe, so I think it qualifies.
ya know, i never thought of that as being a fanfic...

huh.

OT: Was gonna say Fallout: Equestria, but that was already taken.

I also liked A Cross and Arrow.

There was one Doctor Who and Back to the Future crossover that i forgot the name of, i think it might have been called Doctor McFly.

EDIT: why am I italicizing things? ugh school must be getting to me.

I thought my Borderlands [http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6743410/1/Borderlands_The_Movie] piece was pretty good. Hehe. Sorry...
Being serious though, The best fan fiction I've read so far has to be Tiberium Wars [http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3654039/1/Tiberium_Wars].

Firstly, Im putting this here [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sturgeon's_Law]. This is something Ive come to believe completely.

There is a KotOR one that made me lol pretty good though.

Psychotic Man Slayers [http://kotorfanmedia.net/node/8469]

Basic amounts to Carth managing to upset every female on the Ebon Hawk.
