Any good tactics games?

I love tactics games which might be considered weird.

I have beaten every advance war game but only own the ones for the ds. I lost the first one and gave the second one to a friend after i beat that one to death.

I beat the first fire emblem for the advanced and i own the second. I have the fire emblem shadow dragon which was the worst $30 i have ever freaking spent. I beat the one on the gamecube but haven't played the sequel thats on the wii yet...

I have Final fantasy tactics A2 and after i beat the first final fantasy tactics advance like 3 times with 300+ hours each i sold it to a friend in high school for $30. He kept begging me for the game but i told him i wouldn't part with it for less than 30 XD. I have played the beginning of the one on PSone but i didn't get to play much .

I have two other "tactics" games which aren't good at all though i may try to play one of them again which is Hero saga laevatein tactics. The other is Valkyrie profile covenant of the plume which i do not like at all.

I own disgaea a port to the ds and after finally beating the lord of terror i think he was called, and got the strongest sword in the game (i didn't level the thing up at that point i was tired of item worlds to the extreme)

Anyways, anybody know of any good tactics games or has anybody heard anything about the next advanced wars or final fantasy tactics game?

Valkyria Chronicles should suit you perfectly if you have a ps3. If not you should get FF tactics A1

I love Tactics style games so lemme give you a list of games ive found to be fun.
FF Tactics (original, A1, A2)
Front Mission 4 (trying to get an import of 5)
X-Com 1,2,3 (sorta genre blurring but great games. Can get them on the cheap through Steam)
Jagged Alliance 2 (follows the similar formula as X-Com but a tad bit more RPG elements)
Fallout Tactics (many of the old school fallout fans view it as being meh but i've found it fun)
Sadly this genre is rather limited in its audience so there aren't a lot of games out there.

Disgaea has 2 sequels. If you don't have a PS3 and/or PS2 you're SOL though. I'm not sure of what other tactics games exist on the DS.

Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis is REALLY, REALLY, GOOD. So I'd recommend getting that. It's kind of hard to find, though.
It's on the GBA.

Metal Gear Series. Minus 4 which is for the Ps3 you can still get a good enjoyment on playing any of the originals for the ps 1 and 2. Get Subsitance and you'll also be able to play the original 2 Metal Gears (not to be confused for Solid 1 and 2). Also try Metal Gear Acid for the PSP, I myself have yet to play it but it is probably the most tactical game in the series by what I've seen.

Peace Walker is also a great choice.

So yeah, anything metal gear should surfise.

I've heard that Jeanne D'Arc is good, if you can tolerate the anime-ish look of it and if you have a PSP.

FFT: War of the Lions, also on the PSP, is good. I believe it will soon be available on the iphone.

The Tactics Ogre series is the spiritual ancestor of Final Fantasy Tactics and is often considered superior, but they are quite old.

If you want tactics then go get Disgaea. I liked the characters and story but the gameplay is to hard for me, maybe you should try it?

Days of ruin was better too me and the dual strike attacks were too over powered.

yea i have the first one ported to the ds but since i don't have any of the playstations i can't play the sequels

vandal hearts was a good one for the ps 1 it may be on psn now but i really enjoyed it and for computer a really good civ/tactic game would be age of wonders. oh and a very pokemon esque style tactic game for ps1 was eternal eyes that could also possibly be on psn

Tactics Ogre is getting a remake, too. If you can hunt down Knight of Lodis for the GBA, that'd be a good starting point.

Trust me i keep thinking about getting one... The other day at work i saw a psp game called fat princess fistful of cake. XD That looks fricken funny.

Have you played the original final fantasy tactics or the remake The war of the lions?
