Vampires can't have a tan.

...

^_^

...but really. What if vampires could only turn into animals they feed from. They could turn into a sheep if they had lamb, sheeple if they had human, chuck norris if they had awesome, and werewolf if they had werewolf. It would be a nice add on.

Edit: Grammar

I liked Dracula and vlad the impaler...Scooby doo with the vampires was good to.
Oh yes, Vladimir III, the Impaler, a.k.a., "Dracula", translating as "Son of the Dragon"

One hell of a badass.

Vampire's are so fucking trite. Can't you guys just come to grips with how you can't find chicks you can have sex with without resorting to the occult? I mean, c'mon, don't you find the whole idea of the Slavic smoothie who can trance a woman out of her pant kinda old?
Aw, comeon... There are hot guys out there that like vampires.
...

I don't think I want to date them, though...

Still, I like vampires better when they were just zombie monster mob thingies.

...Actually, I'm looking for something that goes against that developed stereotype of vampires. Vampires are badass killers, charismatic maybe, but all for the sake of suspense.

Besides, I don't want a woman that needs me to wear fake fangs... it's creepy.

Dr. McNinja's Dracula story arc was amazing!
www.drmcninja.com
Or more specifically:
http://drmcninja.com/page.php?pageNum=1&issue=11

I will only say this:
It involves Dracula, a doctor that is also a ninja (!), a moon base, and a re-animated Ben Franklin clone.

i always liked the eastern vampires the soul eaters. nothing to do with being bitten just a soul that doesnt leave the body after death and causes trouble by sucking out someones souls (every one has 2 souls accordeing myth). rather have my blood taken than my soul at least you can get blood back.

Like I'd tell you my book ideas!! D:

Never!
I just did, come on!

(Alright, it seems I'm not the only one trying to cash in on the post-Twilight vampire sprawl... here's my sign [cookie for anyone who guesses the reference. It's pretty obscure.])

Are you also trying to redefine vampires in a more appreciative light?

As long as you aren't making a vampire romance, I suppose.

In The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, there is a vampire that is a parody of Mr.T and vampires. He's black, old, and likes to "party". In a special episode, we learn that he has standards that separate him from the traditional vampire stereotypes: He doesn't suck, he scrapes the victim's skin, then licks the blood that comes. Scrape, and lick. Scrape, and lick. He eventually goes outside-- of his own will!--and burns (un)alive. If there is a character like that in any vampire movie/book/TV show, point it out to me, as I need a comic relief to contrast the horrible joke known as Twilight.

That comedian, I forget his name. He was talking about stupid people, how "they should all where signs around their necks that say 'I'm stupid', that way we'd never rely on them..."

Damn... I didn't think anyone would get it. Yeah, Bill Engvall.

...You get a cookie... I don't have the cookie picture, but you still get it.

I like to imagine that vampires are human beings turned demons who have lost all good within them. And since humans see light as good and darkness as evil then light is what they normally fear. mainly the only thing that kills them automatically is radiation of any kind. Which means that they live in caves and only come out at night and prey on wild animals and campers. two ways to kill them is by: 1: taking a radioactive substance and put it into a led gun that opens a hatch when the trigger is pulled.2: force them to come out at night and then restrain them long enough to have them melt away when the morning comes. And of course they are blind so they have super senses and echolocation.

I'm seeing some interesting ideas... I'm just too tired to process any of it.

I'm going to bed for now, but keep going.

we need to let vampires sleep for like 5 years and let these new vampires (you know which ones) just die out. It's getting to the point where as long as it drinks blood it's a vampire. And outside of Left for Dead the same kinda goes to zombies. Edit: I don't hate vampires I'm just so sick of seeing them. the Blade movies are still some of my favorite super hero movies out their.

Darren Shaun's vampire mythos was always my favorite. Vampires were mortal, weren't harmed by religious stuff, and had neat little powers to feed without killing. That, and their entire society revolved around combat, which made the books awesome when I was 8.
I've heard good things about that series. How high should it be on my "To Read" list?

Moonlight. I liked it and I usually hate stuff like that. Check it out on hulu if they have it.
That series was pretty cool before it got axed.

Now I have Fringe and Warehouse 13 to satisfy my occultist viewing desires.
