So do you just take hormone injection's or something?
Daily pills. Both an anti-androgen to stop testosterone, and an estrogen.
Does taking those pills make you have a look similar to a female or does it make you look like a prepubescent male.

Do you have a picture of yourself that you don't mind sharing? I'm not being funny or anything im just very intrigued by all of this. If not then I'll take your word for it not a problem. It would help me out alot though thanks.

I'm happy to share my picture. I'll spoiler tag it so it doesn't clutter up the thread though.

Though, it might be wise to assume not everyone will be so willing to share - I am only doing so as I've already put my pic up on this site, so all I'm doing is sparing you the search.

Hi hetero male here. (Since everyone else say what they are I would have felt left out otherwise)
Just wanted to ask about the asexual/aromance thing.
Aren't they very closeley related psychologically? I mean isn't love/romance an step towards reproduction in a way that sex is?(even though lust and reproduction has differenses)
Mayby an odd question but it interests me and the more I know the less akward I would fell around persons with different sexualities.
I have no doubt that they are closely related, but considering that you can have one without the other leads me to believe that there is some disparity between the two. Hell, I know of people who are sexually attracted to one sex and romantically attracted to another, so they ought to be at least somewhat separate things, even though they're both cogs in the same machine.

I think that one ought to remember that humans are very complex animals and that sex and long-term partnership exist for more than to ensure the successful conceiving of offspring -- conceiving is easy, actually keeping offspring and members of one's kin is the hard part. Not only that, but lacking just a few key parts may shift the focus of humans' natural instincts into making people do something other than the instincts "intend" to, it seems.

Um... There's a question I've been wondering about since the first Transgender-related thread I saw on here...

How different, physically, are a MtF and 'natural' woman/a FtM and 'natural' man?

Thank you for the answer : )
I also wondered you said that you where aromance right?
If so what are your favorite medias or genres in media?
I only ask since there are quite alot (in my excperience) of romance in books, movies, games etc.
Do you just skim over those parts or... I'm honestly at a loss here since I have no idea what other options there are.

I was 19, almost. I came out at 18, prepped the ground for a year, and got everything rolling by january 4th, 8 days before my 19th birthday. I'm 23, nearly 24 now. And thank you! I'm not very photogenic, so as much as it may sound self-congratulatory... I generally look a bit better than I do in my photographs. :p

That's really quite difficult to answer. I guess you would say not very.
I've seen some extremely feminine cisgendered males and i'm seen some incredibly masculine cisgendered females. We all tedn to have aspects of both genders (regardless of what we think).
I do know that in some cases (like my friend Daniel) with FtM's on T, the clitoris can actually develop and grow much larger, almost like a small penis and from what I've heard, it feels like a males as well.

Did you have many issues with facial hair? or did laser or electrolysis help with that?
I don't have the best skin due to having to shave every day as my facial hair literally grows after 3 hours of shaving and to get a thorough enough shave I usually accidentally cut myself.
Makeup is a ***** for me because of it.
I'm 22 now and I always freak out that I've left it too late and I won't be passable at all >.<, but most of all right now more than anything I just don't want to have to shave my damn face every day.

P.S I'm a lesbian, and I think you look incredibly attractive :p
there is nothing wrong with that photo. if you look even better than that in person.... wow <3

I've not been able to afford laser or electrolysis yet - however I used to have not ideal facial hair (certainly no nightmare story but inconvenient) hormones have sufficiently softened it, reduced its growth rate, and paled it so that I can go 2 and a bit days between shaving without anything being visible. Hormones definitely help in that regard. :)

Yeah, I'm aromantic. I'm very fond of lots of different types of media, but especially video games, comics, and films. Romance doesn't bother me that much unless it hogs the spotlight despite not contributing anything important to the experience. Like, having a romantic subplot for the sake of having a romantic subplot or for having an easy way to crank the drama up to eleven is really cheap and annoying. Sex scenes are easy to ignore even when they're bad, but bad romance is quick to spoil an otherwise good piece of work.

Also, there have been some cases where the romantic scenes have been well written, but it's still been somewhat disappointing that they just had to be there because the work could've stood very well on its own without it. Like, you feel like rolling your eyes and going "Gee, not like there aren't enough romantic movies in this world already", but I try to suck it up and remind myself that I'm in the minority.

When it comes to genres... Well, anything that has romance or sex as the main point of the whole deal is something I usually avoid altogether, so no wedding catastrophe movies or dating sims or anything. Otherwise, a lot of things go -- when it comes to film, I like gore, comedy, drama, thriller, sci-fi, fantasy, and then some. When it comes to video games, I enjoy almost everything except JRPG's, simulations, and realistic sports and racing games.

EDIT: Oh yeah! I remembered something. There have actually been some games that have severely squicked me unexpectedly. For example, I felt really uncomfortable that having your character kiss other characters was pretty much mandatory in Bully. Otherwise, I don't mind kissing and such, but it's somehow different when it's MY avatar doing it, it hits just too close to home. Every time I play Bully and other games like that, I have to, well, look away and put my fingers into my ears while the character I control snogs with someone or else I'll feel pretty damn uncomfortable.

Once again thank you for the answer and I really appreciate that you enlighten me on the subject and hope to you all the best in the future. :D

Edit: Is romance at large squicky to you? I still have some problem with getting the aromantic thing since I quite like the romantic aspects of books and the likes (at least when it is done good)

At large? No, not really. I'm only truly squicked when my participation is somehow necessary. I couldn't act out romantic scenes in a play, for example. Same with sex -- it tends to be a boring aspect in media, but it doesn't matter to me as long as I don't have a role in it. Even imagining myself having sex or doing things that are romantic in nature feels profoundly unnatural, like trying to imagine myself in an incestuous relationship with either of my parents.

Hehe only about 8 people (including parents and brother) know of my bisexuality, but I've dropped so many hints in school and no one has caught on to it yet.

my sister is trans, she used to be my brother, then one day we were going our seperate ways after visiting our grandma and we stopped at a cafe and he (?) told me that he (?) was transexual and she (?) had changed her sexual identity. looking back i took it suprisingly well, although my mum has yet to break the news to my 7 year old brother, who remains thinking he has a 21 year old brother, which i think is dispicable to be honest
