A great deal of things, from poetic personifications such as "the pasionately burning sun", to common idioms like "the chair's leg".

In the context of the Furry Fandom, it is usually used to refer to the "Funny Animal" design style, that would assume partially humanoid character designs.

Oh I'm kidding you are right and from the post by Erena it seems as though ponies have a time machine because there are posts as far back as 2008 so I agree with you and wish people would just leave the fans to their show because I'm almost positive you won't find pony porn or any of those other things OP was upset about unless you look for that and if your friends are telling you about that sort of thing I think you should find new friends or be a bit more forceful when telling them to not tell you about their favorite pornographic ponies but unfortunatly people will continue to make these either because they think they have a different opinion, something new to say on an old subject, or just think that they may in fact be the only one who thinks that.

In regards to the definition of anthropomorphic, that's simple the quality of having human characteristics. The ponies in MPL are anthropomorphic animals because they speak and display human emotions and expressions.

They are into the how because they think it's a good show. Most people you talk to were put off by the fact that they were ponies before they sit down to watch it. It's not that they're into animal characters.

And really, considering this exists...

I have also seen the show. I don't think it's anything special outside of being a show for kids that is above average. If grown-ups wants to centre their life around the show then that is not my problem.

The only common thing in NGE and LMP is that they are both ridiculously overdiscussed.

Even if either or both of them *WOULD BE* the best thing ever, it wouldn't deserve all that commotion and whining and infamy and hatred and obsessiveness and this whole larger-than-life reaction.

And we are not "acting like" the show is better than average, we BELIEVE that it is better than average.

A subtle but important distinction, signing a difference between it all being a conspiracy to troll YOU, who has the perfect objective truth of which show is and isn't average, and between different groups of people having different tastes regarding quality.
