You know I don't care much some of the MLP fans can be pretentious, but as a rule people can be pretentious. But he is kind of right they never seam to do much more than put ponies in everything. And at a point you have to go why was that needed?Promethax said:

I've never seen an annoying Brony on this cite. I've seen Pony avatars and an image macro here and there. There's more Nathan Fillion gifs than anything else.
My thoughts on the matter. At this point, I feel like bronies have their own areas to go to without hearing people piss and moan about them, and if you do see it, it's like seeing a building as you drive down the road that has a sign on it saying it's having a meeting for a group of Twilight (the book, not the pony) fans. I think ponies are really cute and it's nice to have something cheerful in a world full of grimdark, so no, I'm not really that sick of it. I am female though so maybe it's that

Eh, will admit i kinda stayed off deviantart a bit for a while due to all the MLP spam, but really i ignore it because it will die out sooner or later and its still not as damaging for people to like as twilight.
I find that offensive in every single possible Way. NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING is as bad as the Sonic Fandom. Hell, as annoying as Bronies get they are still far better behaved then the Sonic Fandom (aka. They actually have the capacity to be fun sometimes rather then proposing to marry characters from said series...yes i have seen that happen) and also far less creepy.Shadowstar38 said:

Admittedly the rest of the statement is the same and some fandoms are definitely capable of being creepy no matter what the fandom is for but...Sonic Fandom is pretty much infamous for how Creepy it is so using it as an example is probably not the best idea.
OT: The Bronies can be annoying but i just kinda got used to them after a while, but i still sometimes have fun just teasing a bit and partaking in playful conflicts. Apart from that, they don't bother me and i don't have to bother them. Although one thing that bothers me is that no bronie seems to be willing to mix Susumu Hirasawa songs with their show, which is a shame cause the guy has done some damned good songs: Such as Aria, Forces, Sign and...actually, let's just say everything he's made and leave it there.
To be honest I'm starting to get the feeling that threads like this are being started on purpose, with the sole intention of attention-grasping. In fact, the OP even stated that he KNEW this could turn out into a flame-war situation before it even started, and he put it up anyway. As for getting my point across, it has been proven time and time again that only the loudest of people are heard. Actually, I take that back. I'm sure one reason (on the escapist, at least) is that pony threads tend to garner lots of comments (which we're contributing to now, dang it!). I myself have gotten tired of all the controversy. I've been a fan for a year and a half, and that's all I am: a fan of a cartoon show. Just like I'm a fan of a lot of different things. In my time as a (ugh) brony, I haven't once, online or off, tried to force the show on someone. It's just not that big of a deal. I can't wait for people to just give it a rest. It's a show. If you don't like it, then just ignore it. It's not that hard.
So, in general, I agree with you, though I think you could of gotten your point across with a little less rage.
The whole war over furries is still pretty much ongoing, although I'll agree it has calmed down significantly. Ponies are going to blend into the internet background eventually, whether its within the time span of a year, or five years. But there are hundreds of other fanbases, each flammable and ready to recreate this same sort of situation.One Shot wonder said:

I was sick of it the day that everyone decided to post pictures of it that had zero relevence to the thread. In all honesty, MLP has the most overzealous fanbase I have ever seen. If anyone says something bad about MLP the fans of it attack the person like they just called their entire life into question.
