Really, all H1N1 is is a new strain of influenza. We get those ALL THE TIME. The flu mutates ALL THE TIME. There's nothing that threatening about this disease.

Doesn't change the fact that having the flu SUCKS with a capital 'sucks'. Last time I had the flu was in November of '07---over Thanksgiving. I had to cancel a Turkey Day get-together with friends I only see (at most) once a year, which left me mad as hell---at the start of my least favorite time of the year (Holiday shopping season). I was surly throughout December.

Not had it, not known anyone personally who has had/got it. Maybe its just the fact that I'm one lucky Sonnuvabitch or that an immune system that is naturally immune to TB can handle some pissant little influenza strain.

Hope you get better soon though, even if its 'minor' its still meant to be pretty nasty.

I've never had swine flu, I've had normal flu though and I felt like I was dying.

The Media have exercised their usual method exaggerating the severity of the illness.
Swine flu shares IDENTICAL symptoms with regular flu, but is sourced from another location.
It's a total fallacy that it poses a threat since it's just as dangerous as any influenza, which isn't very much.

Let me elaborate: there's nothing UNUSUALLY threatening about this disease. For some people, such as those with weakened immune systems, it could indeed be fatal. For the rest of us, it just means spending a crappy week at home.

I have some kind of flu, i.e. have a bad head, stuffy nose, constant lethargy and a bit of a bad throat, but I don't wanna waste my summer moping around, swine flu or not. I'm just keeping it to myself and going out partying anyway.

Swine flu is over hyped anyway.

That's how I feel too, I've been told its swine flu by my Doctor, he lives like 4 doors away from me.
