I sure do.

I was about 4 or 5, and mom liked me playing it a lot more than she did DOOM.

My dad loved Myst and Riven. I liked them, but I was too young to go well with the puzzles.

So my mind was wandering off during my Poly Sci class and thought back to my gaming memories of Myst. I remembered a photo-realistic game that was a very crazy puzzle game that had an eerie feeling to it. I was only 6 at the time that it came out so needless to say the game was a little too sophisticated for me as I couldn't figure out a lot of the puzzles but the game has just sort of stuck with me all these years. I was looking at screenshots earlier and have to admit that the graphics are still very decent and had to be damn amazing back in 1993 when it was released. I wish now that I had a better grasp of the game so I could have played it all the way through but it still leaves a lasting impact on me and my gaming experience to this day. I have to believe that Myst was one of the most innovative games to ever hit the PC and PC gaming is better for it having been made.
Of course I remember Myst. First PC game I ever played.
Used to play it at school.

A better question is:

[HEADING=1]Who in God's name doesn't?[/HEADING]

It's like, one of the hallmarks of gaming! Sure, the genre it belongs to is currently on life support, but back in the day it was GLORIOUS.

I never had a chance to play Myst back in the day, so I only first played it about a year ago or so. However, unlike about 95% of people who are like me and didn't play it until years after it was popular, I actually loved it. The puzzles, while often infuriating, were quite satisfying to complete and figure out, and the atmosphere I also found to be quite good (it's one of the few games I've played where I truly felt alone while playing).

My dad had it, I remember watching him play it when I was a kid, me and my little brother used to gather round his computer at certain evenings, watching him progress through the games, he is still astounded that I remember certain parts of the game.

Later, he got Riven, which both me and my brother followed with the same interest as the original game, amazed by the fantastic contraptions such as the cableways connecting the islands, and the cart that went on rails through the water, and I remember being terrified of the prospect of running in to Gehn all of of a sudden.

All in all, Myst was a big part of my childhood.

I had the playstation version, and didn't have a clue how to play it or what to do despite putting several hours into it. In the end, I gave up and moved on.

YES.

THE WHOLE SERIES IS AMAZING.

Honestly, if you didn't feel shivers while rolling around a pinball in Myst 3, you have no soul.
That God damned ball of wood and ice confused me when I was younger. How long did the end take you and wasn't the cliffhanger a *****?
The wood and ice ball I solved by accident on my second try.

Myst looked really cool but I never played it. I did however play Crystal Key and Traitors Gate. Traitors Gate was pretty cool it was like a Myst meets Splinter Cell and has a kid type game where you are trying to steal the crown jewels. There was this one Myst clone game though, where at the beginning you swim down to the deep end of a pool and it just keeps going down and down and down and all the sudden you come out in this crazy, twisted Alice in Wonderland type world. It was really cool but I can't for the life of me remember the title of the game and everytime I think of it I get so mad cause I want to play it again!

I remember playing the original Myst on my Dad's old Windows 95 PC when I was about 6 or so, but I never finished it, probably because it was freaking hard! A few years ago I got back into it and ended up collecting and completing the whole series. Myst 4 was my favourite, but the whole series stands out for me just because of how unique the whole thing was. The story wasn't half bad either. :)

God yes--I fell in love with the series at the first game and faithfully played it all the way through. I was saddened when End of Ages marked the end of the series, but by the same token I could tell Cyan Worlds was running low on ideas and was grateful that they let it die peacefully.

The entire series is still ranked in my top-five favorite games, and I go back and play whenever I feel nostalgic.

Yeah, I've got Myst IV. I haven't finished it yet, but I really want to get Myst V as well.

It's not action, but it is pretty immersive.

I played a demo for one of them, and subsequently had a brain hemorrhage.

The doctors put it down to profuse boredom.

Oh god, don't mention that name around me, I almost had to repeat a year of high school thanks to getting that damn game in September when I was about 15, damn thing ate up so much of my time, I swear it was the second worst thing to happen to my social life, the first being Diablo 2 a few years later, at least I was out of school by then so it only (almost) destroyed my friendships.
