Anything good about killing a lot of the team in Mass Effect 2?

If you like the characters its worth keeping them all alive for the Citadel DLC, its basically one huge final get together for all the surviving team members. There are a few missing as there is no way for them to be there but its still good.

While most of the replacements aren't any good, I found a few of the missions actually benefited:

Wrex is a total champion, but if he's dead the krogan/genophage arc of ME3 has a lot more nuance. Wreav, I think, represents the average krogan far more than Wrex and you get an idea of just what curing the genophage actually involves, rather than just helping out a friend and his girlfriend.

Additionally, I really liked Jack's mission if she isn't there: you get a bunch of terrified youngsters trying their best to stay alive, with one of them who's probably no older than 18 forced to take charge. Beats the hell out of the character assassination they did on Jack.
I wouldnt say character assassination. Seeing what cerberus has done to her it make sense for her to impart her knowlege as a middle finger to Cerberus

Well, Miranda and Zaeed are dead, so that's good... But all the rest of your squad is awesome (Alright, apart from Jacob, but that's only because he didn't make much of an impact either way) so I'd keep as many as you can alive.

I heard that if you let Jack die then at one point you fight some resurrected Reaper version of Jack?

In Mass Effect 3, you get someone who not only disrespects you, misuses you, but obviously wants to seek revenge on the universe with his Krogan army. Even when he says that he'll consider it, you darn right know he's planning to unleash their hostility.

Wrex on the other hand is downright awesome, thinks of you like a brother, is actually calm to consider the consequences, and wants to save his people while keeping every Krogan in check so nothing bad like the genophage happens again.
Agree absolutely that Wrex is the better / more likeable character. Hell, his material in the Citadel DLC alone makes it worthwhile.

If you're planning to do a runthrough where you don't cure the genophage though, then it can be worthwhile having a Wrex-dead save to do it with, because...

...as we know, if you have Wrex and "fake" curing the genophage then you have to kill Mordin, and Wrex works it out later on anyway and pulls krogan support for the war.

If you have Wreav on the other hand, in the right circumstances (don't recall exactly what they are... I think Eve might have to die too?) Mordin actually gets to live. You can convince him that, because Wreav is such a massive toolbox, curing the genophage would be a terrible decision. Also Wreav doesn't catch on that the cure has been faked, so you get to keep krogan support through to the end. You get to have your cake, eat it, and feel smug that you managed to screw Wreav.

Sort of... but that only happens as a result of choices you make in ME3, which means she has to survive ME2 for it to happen

It happens if you don't do the Grissom Academy side quest in time - leave it for too long, and Cerberus wins the battle for the station.

Jack then turns up later in the game in the Cerberus HQ, as a Phantom unit. Much the same as Morinth turns up as a Banshee during the final fight on Earth if you choose her in ME2 over Samara. It's a blink and you'll miss it thing.

Kinda.

Not a 'Reaper version', but a 'Cerberus indoctrinated version'.

See the following video:
Thanks for the video! I meant Cerberus indoctrinated when I said reaper because Ceberus were using Reaper tech on indoctrinated command from their reaper overlords to make mind slaves to help the reapers in their goal, but I forgot that when you've got 'Cerberus' and 'Reaper' factions that wasn't exactly the clearest thing to say =D
