Visuals could be a stat! People in multiplayer games will probably compliment your metrosexuality, you're there to impress and have fun anyways. Now games that allow you to reskin items such as Aion are pretty neat. Also lol TF2
I pretty much agree there.HassEsser said:Stats over visuals; I don't give a fuck about how I look in a game.
...Oh goodness, the hats. I got to the point where I didn't even look at them. I just sold 'em as soon as I got 'em.Arontala said:Does anyone here remember the hats in Dragon Age: Origins?
Yeah, no.
yeah I always disliked power armour in the fallout games, it just never felt right for my charachter or situation (except say...those few big battles in fallout 3)ruben6f said:Appearence of stats every singe time, in RPGs I just use weapons and clothes that suit the place where I am, if I am in the wastlands I will be using a sherif's coat and hat and maybe a hunting rifle or a assault rifle.
In Oblivion I use always use leather armor unless I am sneaking around, in that case I use the dark brotherhood armor.
In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I wold use a basic armor when I am walking around the zone, and when I am underground or in Pripyat I wold use a SEVA suit or exo-squeleton.
I do this just because I like to look cool in games.
well there were a few bonuses in fallout for my charachter talking to people in sexy underwearHam_authority95 said:Stats over visuals, because the game mechanics are usually based off stats.Insanity72 said:When i play RPGs i always have to make a decision, a few more stats towards an attribute and have to wear something that doesn't match the rest of my armor or the opposite, get some more stats and look slightly ridiculous.
In almost all of these occurrences i will choose to keep my matching appearance over an item that will give me a few more points to my endurance. Obviously if it is a huge bonus to a stat i will choose the stats over appearance, i'm not THAT stupid.
So what about you Escapist? Would you rather keep a matching suit of Finely crafted elven armor, or walk around with a pair of green shorts that do not match the rest of your outfit what so ever?
However, wouldn't it be interesting and cool to see a game driven by how people see your appearance? Not just a "fashion model" type game, but any game based off social interaction could use something like that.
But alas, my suggestions will probably be forgotten under endless games based off warfare conflict rather than intrigue and social skills.
