My mistake, it looked like a shotgun. I completely agree with you,it's about the pleasure it brings to the prankster, not the victim. That said, you do have to be just a little sadistic to really enjoy a good practical joke. It it's the cathartic factor that makes it so enjoyable. It's the simple joy of being a dick.
