But what these people do is stay in a specific room for a long time just to get kills. With a sniper you tend to be at a disadvantage when a dude gets behind you with an AR, but when you're hiding with a shotgun to specifically kill anyone who comes through, you not only ruin the flow of the game but you're causing grief to other players just to get a high kill ratio.DuplicateValue said:Be honest, you made this thread entirely for this statement, didn't you?CORRODED SIN said:If you do, you ruin the game.
OT: I'm a sniper. It's what I'm good at.
However, I don't see camping with a different gun as unfair. If you don't have the common sense to not go barging around without checking for enemies, then it's your own fault when you die.
I snipe by following teammates and helping them in battles or save them from an ambush. I'm much better at shooting people when they are busy with someone elseFurburt said:No, I'm a sniper.
A proper one. Track target, and eliminate.
But wouldn't building sentry's, defending a base, being a medic in most games, and Kamikaze's all come under the exact same definition?bookboy said:I don't camp, i prefer to think of it this way: take an element of a multiplayer game, and ask yourself, if everybody did this, would the game still work? if the answer is no, then the tactic/weapon/upgrade/whatever is unfair and/or not part of the way the game is supposed to be played.
camping, in case you are wondering, would cause the games to cease working should everybody choose to do nothing but camp, therefore it is bad (IMO).
