Nationalism, Nolove for or devotion to one's country
I'm a veteran and I think America is great. Though I also think we have a lot to learn from Europe on health care and Asia on education. If I had to move to another country, I can probably think of only a dozen or so where I'd be happy (though still griping about a few problems in each of them as well) but substantially more where I would absolutely not want to go, in many cases because my mouth would probably get me jailed or executed.loyalty and devotion to a nation; especially : a sense of national consciousness exalting one nation above all others and placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests as opposed to those of other nations or supranational groups

Hmmm....kinda saddens me when I see this sort of thing about Ireland. I guess I've always thought that, while the country is FAR from perfect, the good really outweighs the bad.Get_A_Grip_ said:Irish here.
Do not care for my country at all.

I concede to your intellect, you must get all the babes.
I can see why![]()
I think you miss my point. In defending my country I could be killed, I am not prepared to die for my country. Don't get me wrong, I would die fighting for my family and friends, but I would never die for my country I really don't care enough to do it.Magenera said:That's because you are not suppose to die for your country, the enemy is suppose to die for their country.Catfood220 said:No not really. I mean England is alright, there are definitely worse places to live but if Wales decided to invade tomorrow, you won't find me laying down my life.
On that note I am Patriotic? Yes my Country is my home, and my home is my Country. I am proud to be an American, I'm no fool, as I know damn well that America isn't a saint. But I have accepted the good with the bad and I couldn't possibly imagine living anywhere else.
