I feel I'm unique, not special. I'm variation, not a spectacular savior of the Scientologists. But all in all, I am another face in the crowd...

I wasn't sure what you meant by "special", since it's become the cool new thing to say you've got yet-to-be-diagnosed Asperger's Syndrome. Clearly, though, I am the only special person in the world, even though my hair colour, financial state, abilities, and pretty much everything in my life is average. OBVIOUSLY.

Seriously, though, I have a high IQ. It's fun to brag about it to everyone, but it's not like it's ever actually made a difference. I have terrible grades. And not, like, Einstein grades. He only had bad grades because he wasn't trying. My doctor was probably a quack.

99% of the world is not special, and being special to someone else, the most common pro-special argument, means very little in the grand scheme of things. The sooner people accept this the sooner they can actually do something that deserves recognition rather than believing that the are inherently special.

I know I'm not special, except psychologically. I know that people will go extinct because of themselves, not because of some other reason, which other people seem to have a knee-jerk reaction against.

No and neither are you. If you have to ask this the answer is obviously no.

I'm useful for a lot of things and a lot of people like me but I'm not under any delusions that there aren't many other people out there nearly exactly the same as I am, I meet people who are very similar to each other all the time and I'm not stupid enough to think that there aren't people out there just as similar to me.

I'm special but not in the way you're special, I have an aura to prove it.
