Area 51. And Google Earth...

I once typed Area 51 into google Earth to see what it would do. It gave me turn by turn directions, and helpfully provided Streetview photo links upon arrival.

As soon as someone tells me how to upload photos, I'll send the screenshot.

What I want to know is:

What the **** is AREA 51 DOING ON GOOGLE EARTH? And why isn't the U.S. Government blocking ORBITAL SATELLITE PHOTOGRAPHS of sensitive government installations? To me it's like the government is giving me a rude gesture, saying "People are too stupid to use GOOGLE to plan terrorist attacks" or something like that. Not that I would ever PLAN a terror attack. Although I might plan a robbery, or an act of Industrial Espionage... But not really.

The point is, WHY are there photos of Area 51 on Google Earth?

Being someone who's traveled through the western United States, trust me when I say "don't attempt getting into governmental facilities", as all along the road there are signs that say "Government Property, trespassers may be shot on sight without warning."

Does it still have the "AlienFace" just to the Norht West?
Or those "nukes" scatered around?
Or that random area of ice somewhere else in Arizona?

you need an account with a website that posts images, like photobucket. All you have to do is upload the image to that website (after you sign up of course) and it will provide you with the url, and copy pate it in here, and voila (should look something like [ img ] blahblah.com [ /img ] without the spaces)

Also, I never believed in Area 51, prove me wrong!

Put photo's on a upload site eg photobucket, then if you right click on it you can copy source code, if not look in properties and it'll be in there. The put it into img brackets [ img] followed by your code then [ /img] All the img brackets don't have spacing.

All of the good stuff is underground, so who gives a rat's ass about a bunch of techno-literate punks like us looking at it from a satellite? All we'll see is open space and dirt.

Well, would it not be possible if in a top secret government facility, they could simply paste a fake image. I mean we have some nice technology, it wouldn't be to damn hard...

Oh, I never said it had ALIENS there. I just said that the actual LOCATION existed. It IS just a military aircraft test area, but it IS a sensitive military location.

... What's so special about Area 51?
It's where the US Airforce keeps all of our top secret UFO related technologies and the cures to diseases the the drug companies don't want you to know about. Oh, and Baskin-Robbins super-duper secret 32nd original flavor that causes immortality.

Why wouldn't it? it's just an old military base in the middle of nowhere.
Even if it is still important, darkless here makes a good point, if you want people to stop looking at things, just make them easy to see - then as far as conspiracy theorists are concerned the mystery goes away.
Unless the conspiracy theorists theorize that the government is lying to them and covering it up so it looks harmless.

area 51...is actually a military test facility. people say thats where UFOs landed a while back, because a farmer saw a government aircraft that was being tested, crash. the parts were so "futuristic", he assumed it was from an alien spaceship. big hype over nothing (just like the tooth fairy lol)
