Though on the other hand that is one charismatic spider.

(DO NOT GOOGLE ZIPPOCAT DO NOT!)

i just did, and i now feel thoroughly ashamed to be a human being, i have never been so disgusted at our race as i am now,

OT:daddy longlegs (crane flies)
don't know why

EDIT: also SADS (sudden adult death syndrome) it happened to my mate and it terrifies me
Of course since you said don't Google it I had to see what it was and now I wish I could turn back time. Or at least turn zippos on the sick people who do stuff like that. I don't understand why people have fun doing, taping and posting stuff like that.

It doesn't take much to scare me...;_;
I'm the only member of my family who isn't scared of small insects, but big spiders in close up are likely to have more of an effect.
Similar with heights.
And for "sleepness nights" factor, certain enemies from Doctor Who.

First, 500 Cool Points to you for taking that pic (you took it, right?) Second, I can't quite get a handle on what's going on in it. What is the tripod-looking thing? Are those people dangling off the side? I think I'm just looking at the picture retardedly, but what the hell is going on?

Oh I don't know, maybe because he's called a Jumping Spider and can jump 20 to 60 times the length of his own body length...

Also their mating ritual looks like this:

:p
The mating ritual just made him cuter and, with music, funnier. I don't know about you but that just made me get over my fear of spiders. Well, sorta...

I actually just had to wikipedia that...I'd heard of SIDS before, but SADS? Wow... though it doesn't appear to mean "sudden adult death syndrome" like SIDS means "suddent infant death syndrome"...it actually stands for "sudden arrhythmia death syndrome", apparently...

On a semi-related note the owner of that dog once doused an entire sidewalk section with gasoline and lit it up. The reason? The thing was covered in millions of ants. I was inside when I heard him yell, and made it out in time to see him pour and light the gass.
Ohh lolz. I'm so using that one.

Reminds me of the time my parents came home to new lawn decor. Aka shapes my brother & I had burned into the lawn with gas. :O We had a few acres, so it's not like any neighbors could see it. :p

I like the ones where they make him look like he's tap-dancing and doing the 'Peanut Butter Jelly Time' dance. ^_^
But no, I still hate spiders and I still near wet my keks when I see Camel Spiders. >_<
I do want a plushie of a jumping spider, I've become a fan. Hee~

I'll have to check that one out, along with the other books and movies that people recommend but I never get around to looking for because I forget to or what they're called. :(

This one calls for becoming a note in my phone, though. Once it's in there, that guarantees I don't forget it. I still have a note from last year reminding me that a friend will sing if I pay her $500. Not likely to happen, but good to remember if I have some extra cash.
Oh good!! It's a must-watch. If you like it I'll throw more your way. :D

And for $500 she better be amazing.
Any ideas on where I could find it, or is Google my best bet here?

Amazing would be nice, but not minding me laughing at her afterwards is fine with me, too, should I feel the desire to.

Spiders, women, spider-women.

Same as always.
I'm afraid of writing a film script only to have someone thieve my gags and pass them off as their own...
There was a time I quoted Dog Soldiers to be funny. Now, I've posted in so many "what are you afraid of" threads it's all but lost any meaning.
...a bit like getting up in the morning to go to work...

Yeah google is going to be your best bet. Amazon if you want the actual DVD.

Oh that's true, good agreement there!

Okay, I'm not a dog person, but that is easily one of the cutest dogs I've ever seen. So, my question is...are you afraid of that particularly fluffdorable breed of dogs, or dogs in general?
*facepalm*

well, i'm flattered that you thought it was me, but sadly, no. it was the only good picture i could find of a straight vertical drop down the building. i wouldn't have the nerve to dangle by my feet from the very peak of a quarter-mile high tower! but i definitely think it's some kind of radio maintenance, either that or weather instruments.
