I hope they can figure out a way to randomize the coin toss. Without it effecting the gameplay in a negative fashion.

Can not wait. The flashback scene in Return of the Joker was one of the creepiest things I have seen. Especially watching the original on youtube. I found that scarier then the Dark Knight.

YYEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS :D XD XD :D

*ahem*
I enjoyed Arkham Asylum.
A lot.

"Conroy was reportedly tricked into revealing the inclusion of Two-Face in the game"

Sure he was...... *taps side of nose* "Tricked". Right.
He's the godam Batman, for crying out loud! :p

I am so happy right now....

Please... no Robin. If I hate anything about the Batman mythos, it's Robin.

Everything else sounds great though.

Arkham Asylum 2 to Be Darker and More Two-Faced

Batman's next console outing will be much darker than his first according to the Dark Knight's voice actor, and will see the return of a much loved villain.

Kevin Conroy, who has lent his voice to the Dark Knight in a variety of projects, has confirmed to things about the upcoming sequel to last year's Arkham Asylum: Firstly, that it will be much darker in tone than its predecessor and it will feature Two-Face as a villain.

Speaking at the C2E2 comic convention in Chicago, Conroy was reportedly tricked into revealing the inclusion of Two-Face in the game, and then tried to recover from the slip by saying "There's a very complicated cast. A lot of villains are in it. I'll just leave it at that!"

Conroy also said that the game would go to a dark place, comparing it to 2000's Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0233298/], a major plot point of which revolved around the Joker torturing Robin. "It involves a lot of the villains and it goes to that area," he said. "It's that dark."

i already thought the first one was quite dark, but the titan formula somewhat detracted from that. i'd like to see a much grittier batman.
Same; if it's two-face though, I'd guess the story would be much more "human" given his past.

Hopefully they'll push Batman to breaking-point, I want him to be beaten and pretty much give up. He was too "all-American hero" in the last game. Like when he had the chance to knock Joker off and didn't.

Can't wait! Where's the pre-order button? :)
Looking for it myself.

Now I'm just hoping that Mr. Freeze is in it. He's my absolute favourite Batman villain. Ever. I also hope that the Scarecrow makes another appearance since his levels were really awesome in the first.

And now I love you. I don't know you but the news about Mr. Freeze. I love you. I hope its the tragic Freeze from the Animated Series and Batman Beyond (since he's the one I love) as opposed to the crappy one in Batman and Robin film. Not too many puns...please.

And two characters that have to stay for the second. The Riddler and his riddles since they are awesome! I love The Riddler a lot. And Harley Quinn. My second favourite villain in all of Gotham I just think she is brilliant. Have her show up and do your usual brilliance.

Finally maybe a side Co-Op mode could work? This would be without Batman since if it was Batman and anyone else whoever wasn't Batman would have less fun. Maybe play as two villains? Or preferably Nightwing (this would be the Grayson one) and Robin (this would be
Damian Wayne
(which is what Batman wanted when he
left a pre-recorded message to Grayson after his "death"
. Or maybe Batgirl and Robin. Like have the two side-kicks doing something to help Batman as a side co-op campaign. Then maybe have Co-Op challenge rooms. It'd be cool.

Hmmmm...those words "darker" and "grittier" make me think more Frank Miller...

And that's NOT a good thing. Batman can be done SO badly in the wrong hands.

Edit: And I freaking loved AA.
You do know that Frank Miller wrote 'The Dark Knight' universe where Batman was much, MUCH harsher than his mainstream counterpart, right?
Yep, which is why I'm concerned. Miller's taint is hard to remove.
Anyways the mainstream Batman already is very dark and gritty, and with Kevin Conroy as the lead voice, I dunno how it could go wrong.
There's already been some very bad Batman, as well as Spidey. I'm hoping that we're not seeing a new "realistic" Batman as that could be very bad indeed. Like Yahtzee and others have said, Bats is really just a stooge for the Villains to be defeated by. He should be "Neo" level, not the "Goddam Batman".

Batman Beyond was a fantastic series, and Return of the Joker is my favorite representation of the Clown Prince of Crime.

Seriously, the unedited version of that movie is great.

The comparison has me thinking though. Return of the Joker said that Arkham was partially demolished after they moved the inmates to a new high security prison.

Could this mean that Arkahm Asylum 1 and 2 were prequels to Return of the Joker?! Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are in it, its inspired by the DC Animated Universe! Could Arkahm Asylum 2 show the reason Arkham was demolished in the first place? It was probably the biggest breakout in the prison's history.

Oh, the tie-in options are endless!

I've yet to play Arkham Asylum start to finsh but it's the one 360 game that i really want to play more than the others. Although everything I heard about the first Arkham Asylum was positive I'm hesitant to get too excited about a sequel. I'm really hoping that it isn't shit like a lot of sequels to amazing games.

i agree. it really annoyed me how he didn't actually just finish joker sometimes. i understand it's batman and he has his rules, but at a certain point it just became unbelievable that you wouldn't think about the greater good. kill on psychopath, save tons of people.
