No, the reason it got cancelled was because it was an American show with a very British sense of humour...
I'm not disagreeing with you I'm just curious what do you mean by a British sense of humor
That would be a more 'subtle' type of humour rather than the 'slapstick' type humor [NB. spelling]. (Yes, I know I'm stereotyping but whatever). It was also very controversial in terms of its use of the Iraq war for jokes in a satirical manner much more prevalent in Britain. Finally, it had an overarching plot of a kind not seen in most American sitcoms where everything is always the same by the beginning of the next show.

My favorite show ever. I've seen every episode, and I love it love it love it. It is so witty. Half the time, I won't notice something until seeing an episode for like the third time. It's the bomb.

I see what you mean, I think the overarching plot is part of the reason why the show got canceled since people starting to watch the show during the 2nd season were lost.

oh the her? part is just a quote from Arrested Development lol

Ah yes, that show was damn hilarious. I loved the narrator, and I have to say it's one of the few shows that I actually couldn't multitasking when watching because of how funny it was. I loved how the story just kept going and getting more complicated, and I actually really liked the series finale.

I thought the Korean kid being the mastermind behind the final arrest was simply brilliant and actually made a whole ton of sense in retrospect. It was so unexpected but so reasonable.

(sorry for reviving an old topic)

Just finished the show, watched Season 1 a long time ago but for some reason never watched Season 2. Though now with Netflix I finally finished the series, it was great!

They're running through the entire show here in the UK on FX right now with double bills on Monday nights consistantly since March. We've just started Season 3 and I absolutely love this show to death. No other sitcom has made me laugh so stupidly loudly and I doubt any others will.

It's my 3rd favourite show of all time (behind No. 1 Firefly and No. 2 Chuck) and I cannot wait for that movie. They may want to clear the theatre when I go; because I'll be laughing for everybody.
