Charmander death rates must be extremely high, seeing how it tends to be difficult to get out of the rain. It can come pretty suddenly, and they do live outdoors.

The ghost trap made me laugh, but some of those really do seem a bit cruel... like the one that consists of three eggs (forgot the name) being completely smashed, Hitmonlee with its legs amputated, or the eviscerated Wurmple. Ouch.

If I'm honest, I was kind of hoping for something a bit more brutal, these are pretty cartoonish, and when I saw Gruesome in the title I had imagined something a lot bleaker.

Yeah, they are still cute. I was hoping for spilled entrails, charred Zubats, shattered geodudes, bones sticking out of skin, you know.

Yeah, unfortunately how you've phrased it you do sound slightly deranged, bordering on psychopathic but still, yeah, thats basically what I wanted, it would be fairly cool to see a shattered Geodude, or a dried out Seaking, hell even a Squirtle with a big crack in its shell.

So, hey, these are tame compared to that particular bit of official Pokemon material.

However, clearly the greater body of Pokemon canon prefers to consider Pokemon as being made out of unbreakable, rubbery, shiny material that is apparently immune to all the physical abuse it will inevitably take.

You know, just like anime's portrayal of women. *rimshot*
