Ice here is slang for crystal methamphetamine, which is usually high quality.
Do you guys have "P" over there (Pure Methamphetamine)
I don't think the term's used, though I've heard "Superice" tossed about.

Is it true that there's a point on a man's head where, if you shoot it, it will blow up?

Couldn't resist.

.../Hot Fuzz

...I'll be in the corner.

Actually, I have more;

Have you ever fired two guns whilst jumping through the air?

Have you ever fired one gun whilst jumping through the air?

Ever been in a high-speed pursuit?

Have you ever fired a gun whilst in a high speed pursuit?

Finally, Have you seen Bad Boys 2?

EDIT; Yes, I do want these questions answered.

It is soooo fucking bad.

Apparently it hooks you on the first hit. 99% Chance of becoming addicted if you do it that one time. And it works 10X as much on your body than Crystal Meth.

The high speed thing I didn't do much, I helped lay out the spike strips. (They completely worked by the way).

If two cars are both speeding one behind the other, would you ticket the guy in back or the leader? Or would there be some way to ticket both?

You can ask me questions like, things you want to know about police behavior, jail, things about the system. My knowledge from experience is strictly American, but I do have a small amount of knowledge academically of other countries (really small).
When a Police Officer runs your drivers license or state ID, what information comes up on the dispatchers computer? I was recently mistaken for someone who started a physical altercation at a downtown bar, and a police officer stopped me, asked for my ID, ran it, then let me go. I did nothing wrong, and have no history with any police departments, but I was just curious as to what the dispatcher saw regarding me and my information.

Thanks :)

If you mean street racing than... You can ticket both just go over the radio saying where it is how fast it was doing. You ever been pulled over and you think "that was like 5 minutes ago?"

If you mean generally, it's about 50/50; it's just whichever one is easier to get (which is usually the back) or whichever one is being a worse (see: faster, reckless) driver (which is usually the front).

Dispatch goes with whatever description was on the call; so if they said a white male, age 25-30, with brown hair, a handlebar mustache and a grey polo his name is "John Smith" and you so happen to look like that. You'll get pulled over; if they than run your ID and see your name is Robert Jones, you're on your merry way.

There is a misconception that very vague descriptions will go out; particularly 'black male'.
This isn't true unless the description is at least someone specific (black male age 25-30 with a goatee, red t-shirt, and a yellow ballcap) it won't go out; even than unless it's an emergency (like someone who just robbed a place at gun point) they won't put it out unless they have a name; in which case it's at the pre-shift briefing usually.

As far as what comes up on the screen that varies on what software your department uses, ours? It would have, pretty much everything thats on your DL your social security number and you could hit a button to pull up a brief description of a criminal record (Just charged/date/outcome)

I have some more questions
What difference would you say there is between what you did as a Jailer and say a prison guard/warden? or are Jailer/prison guard/warden all essentially the same thing?

Where does say a dog or any animal with either sharp claws or teeth rank on the amount of force charts with regard to self defense?

You're working in a small town when you discover a homicidal, masked killer, who's immortal, mind you, is on the loose, hacking up teenager after teenager.

How would the force react?

I have a question in regards to prison, is it true you guys take shoelaces and guitar strings? or is that just in high risk suicide cases?

also, by now everyone knows the miranda rights, do you still need to say them every time someone gets busted, or is it safe to assume that they know what's going on?

Never heard of any sort of jail where people have guitars let alone the strings. Items people are allowed to have are tightly controlled. People are issued shower shoes, which are like rubbery flip lops. They can purchase shoes from weekly commisary the shoes are slip ons though. Laces can be used as a weapon or to commit suicide.

Miranda rights only have to be given before you start a formal interview and questioning not as soon as you arrest someone.

edit: you also don't do miranda till someone becomes a suspect; so if a cop starts giving you those; prepare for a shitty day.

Using the dog is counted as 'weapon control' which is a step above active aggression (being attacked without weapons)

A Jail and Prison are different; firstly line officers at a Jail or Prison are properly addressed as a "Corrections Officer" or a C/O.

A Jail is where you sit when you are awaiting trial, an immigration hearing or have been sentenced to less than two years. Some jails also have areas for work release, day reporting, and house arrest. A Jail can have men and women (in most states) in the same building but never in the same areas. Jails are usually run by the city, or more often the county which they're in.

A Prison is where you go AFTER you've been sentenced if your sentence is longer than 2 years; everyone in a prison is 'guilty' prisons can typically only house one gender. Prisons are almost always run by the state which they are in or the federal government.

A Warden is an administrative position typically reserved only for a prison, think of it as the corrections version of a chief of police.

Jails are either run by a director which is again like a chief of police. Smaller populated counties have the County Sheriff run the jail as part of his duties.

I got one why do cops demand so much respect from you. Yet they give you so little?
Also why do so many cops not respect the bill of rights and commit so many illegal searches. Do you guys just think the Constitution is out of date? (This is because I pulled of illegally, searched illegally, and then charged illegally and it still cost me 2 grand in court fees and lawyers fees)

Sorry for lack of humour/support for the police...

But can you shed any light on why the police spend their time harrassing me and my mates when we meet in the park (yes, during opening hours) but have "inadequate resources" to "further pursue" an investigation into a psycho who randomly assaulted my sister's b/f?

I realise how inappropriate a comment such as this is on a forum but the police here arent responding to calls and I'm more than a little hacked off.

I'm not attacking you personally, but are you aware of how this system works and why this is happening?

I've got something that I've always wondered. I don't plan on doing this, because it would be silly and would probably get me attacked, but theoretically, is it legal to carry around a wooden sword if it is not concealed?
