Have you ever wondered anything about guns?
Ask me, I dont know everything but I know alot and can easily discover what I dont know.

I am not a hardcore gamer, but if you have a question about firearms that relate to games I will do my best.
Gun history
Gun laws
Anything remotely firearm related is open for questions.

Ummm.....Wow......Well.......

What do you think about all of the gun control laws people are proposing (some even going so far as to ban guns for civilians)?

Go outside and get your most powerful gun then fire a bullet into the air and wait to see if it comes down and kills you on return impact.

They sure did. Shooting bullets into the air is very, very illegal.

Dommyboy: No matter how powerful the gun is, the bullet'll come down at terminal velocity if fired straight up. I believe the Mythbusters proved that that would not be fatal.

Entertain me!

What's the stupid thing you've ever seen (in person) someone do with a gun?

What's the coolest?

Well, what if we get something of a larger structure. Perhaps a M72 LAW?

It's all in the name of having fun with big guns.

That's why I've always thought that, instead of outlawing guns, we should outlaw.......... Crime......................."Well, I was gonna kill that guy, but apparently its 'illegal' now.....I guess I'll have to turn to a life of labor."

Therefore, my lame attempt at wit aside, I agree with you.

...But I want to see what Mathurin has to say about it.

There was an episode of CSI about it too. Some guy murdered a young girl by shooting into the sky and he hit her in her house a long ways away.

I thought their tests showed it wasn't fatal, but there were documented reports saying that people did in fact die from it, thus making them rule it pluasible. I could be wrong though, it's been known to happen from time to time.

As for the thread, eh. I'm a gun owner myself, so I don't really have any questions.

I still love you though. In a not-gay way. *hugs*

Qbert: The documented reports weren't from guns being fired straight up. They were fired at an angle, causing the bullet to fly in a ballistic arc and still maintain a good portion of its horizontal velocity.

And CSI is, of course, always realistic about everything. Therefore, the (probably) liberal writers of the show can, of course, be trusted to relate bullet velocity information in a completely factual and nonpartisan way, without any kind of sensationalism.

Making guns illegal doesn't help, because criminals aren't going to obey laws in the first place. I suppose obliterating all guns from an entire country, then closing the borders might help, but then I suspect there'd be a wave of stabbings. Besides, most people who are strongly anti-gun have no idea just how many gun laws are in place already. And banishing guns in the US will never work, because this country was built on guns.

Guns are a part of our very society, as evidenced by how much they show up in movies and video games. It's not just a "violence is everywhere" thing, because there are lots of different kinds of violence. Even very anti-gun movie writers and game developers keep putting guns into their movies and games, and most people still think of a gun as the "end all, be all" of weapons... Which means that the first thing a potential criminal will want to have with him when he commits a crime is, you guessed it, a gun.

What's the most powerful sniper rifle out there. Maybe that's a bit broad, but answer how you can.
