Maybe Sprites was Alien creatures that wanted to help the protagonist because they wasn't brainwashed/controlled by the Combine Race.
Well, the Nihilanthe and its cohorts in HL1 weren't brainwashed by the Combine (that we know of); they were fleeing them.
Wait, what? I thought they were slave like us in Half-Life 2.
Also for Nihilanthe......is there a possibility to be in reality an Combine Advisor?
Like, Combine never killed all the Nihilanthe's Race and made them the Combine Advisors.
If you see a image of a Larva of a Combine Advisor, the have some similarities:

The Nihilanth does mutter that "we are their slaves", but it's quite ambiguous really: "we" could refer to the Nihilanth's race, or it could be Freeman and the Nihilanth; "they" could be the Combine, or it could be the G-Man and his employers, whoever they are.

Marc Laidlaw has confirmed that that particular Nihilanth was never captured by the Combine, but some of his predecessors might have been;

Random Answer(s): A magical being did it... Seriously, they had a robe and spoke like a Tron fan on weed... I mean, you should have seen the power they possessed...

Random Question(s): I have contemplated about wearing female clothing... Should I or should I not? If yes, where should I start? If no, then can you explain to me why I would always volunteer to play the female in drama class?
Yes I guess, I don't see anything wrong with it in any case, as for where should you start? Uh well that's a hard question to answer, what female clothing interests you?
Uh... Skirts... Dresses... Do high heels count? Other than that, anything that can compliment my legs and butt, especially my legs...
Do you have it? Can you acquire it if you don't?
I think I have the back for it... But, I might need a second opinion from someone I know in my local area...
I don't know the answers to any of those things so I'm afraid I cannot help you with that.
That's quite all right...
As for your other question... Because girls are pretty and you wanted to be pretty too, I mean at least that's one theory.
Well, I did have a lot of female friend who would wear a lot of pretty clothes... Seems legit...

As for my question:

How come people consider me a friend really easily after just a couple of interactions and I consider absolutely no one that? I mean it's not like I hang out with any of them, at most they are just acquaintances and co-workers but not friends, I wouldn't even care if I never saw any of them ever again.
Well, it depends on what they consider to be a friend... To some, it's just happens upon first interaction and nothing else afterwards... Other times, it gradually happens to the point that no one has to state the obvious... In my opinion, the people you're referring to probably see themselves hanging out with you in the future even if that may never happen or they see themselves as friends with everyone until someone, preferably you in this situation, corrects them...

Sure, why not? If I were so inclined, I'd start with things that are easily hidden. Panties are the logical first step. Possibly socks depending on the length of your pants. If concealment isn't a priority then a nice dress seems like it'd be fun.
So, start small and work from there... That makes sense...

Another [Random] Question: If a[nother] comedian right now was given their own slice-of-life subversive sitcom series that realistically exaggerated their current life, who should be given that opportunity?

Answer: As a long-time fan, I can't agree with that theory considering that was only a one-time deal... and no practical evidence has proven how in a show filled to the gills with continuity, this was one of the things that ended up going back to the "status quo", per se...

Question: How is the question "If a tree falls and no one is around, does it make a sound?" a trick question?

It's not really a trick question exactly; it's a thought experiment. The intention is to prompt people to question whether "sound" is the vibration itself, or whether it's the sensation of hearing it. If the former, then it does, but if the latter, then it doesn't.

But, hasn't "sound" already been proven to be vibrations that can be picked up depending on the frequency of said vibrations?

Well, that depends on how we think of "sound", I suppose. It's usually defined by our experience of those vibrations. It's not a watertight thought experiment, though.

Now I feel like the only thing that's missing is the word "theory" somewhere... Not sure why, though...

Anyway, in terms of copyright, why does it still exist for those that have long sense passed away and have no physical way of retrieving their revenue? Or does this only extend to those born/lived in the 20th Century as well as the family members related to the deceased in question?

My question: I love physics... LOVE IT. Outside of a few highly publicized and "sexy" topics that generally have little in common with the actual theories involved (i.e. anything involving Quantum Mechanics)... people are not just disinterested... they shut down. I understand why, but what I don't understand it... what does it feel like? When someone like me is telling you about the Stress-Energy Tensor, and your eyes start to glaze... what's going through your head? What are you feeling?
So, shall we discuss the propaganda of Kang and the effects it would have on the rise of Japanese supremency and the general weakening of Chinese soveriegnty in the face of the European powers and how it would be a factor leading in the historical manipulation used by the Republican revolution under Puyi?

Everyone has areas they know and don't know. When someone is starting to glaze over, it's because you have done a poor job either explaining it, or figuring out that the person just doesn't care. If you're the person who is trying to push their interests onto another person, they will lose interest.

Have you, for example, sat down with a fanboy? And ALL they can talk about is their personal interest? Like LoL? And they won't shut up? And you're too polite to tell them to shut up, and they won't take the hint?

The eyes glazing over is them being too polite to tell you to shut up and hoping you'll figure it out.

P.T.

Also, the Ju-On films that would later inspire the Grudge. They were pretty good.

Remember; sex and death. Don't just outright say it, but allude to it constantly. Make them feel turned on, and grossed out. Perhaps put some candles in the background, and some odd music turned low. Have them eat strange food. Make sure the lights are turned low enough to add atmosphere, but high enough they can see the paper. Move about. Shout. Scream. Get in their face. Make them uncomfortable.

Do you have a budget? Have a budget.

Do you have a six month buffer? Sort it out.

Do you speak a second language? Learn one.

Are you volunteering for a cause? Find a cause and support it more than mere Twitter.

A: I saw a really bad car wreck and watched two kids die. Nothing I could do to help, the injuries were too bad. Then I had to lie to their mother so she'd stay calm and let me treat her. So if you're looking for a theme, the scariest thing in life is having the appropriate skills but still being unable to "win". Helplessness destroys us all.

Q: I'm looking to get back into dating after a loooong time. Any suggestions on places to do stuff and meet people? I don't get out much atm because of my job and where I live. -.-

YES!!! Hell yes!!! I'm not going to claim to know much about this particular subject, but I find the history of China, Japan, Korea, etc fascinating. We learn almost nothing about in the West unless you specifically study it, and then it's usually Japan's Sengoku period, or the whatever Koei is covering in Dynasty Warriors. I'm the guy who hears something he doesn't know in a game or anime, and researches it. Then again, I get that's not the usual run of things.
I'd recommend Jung Chang's Empress Dowager Cixi; she does a fairly good job summarising China's modernisation between 1830 to 1910 and all the circumstances around it, while using a narrative based around Cixi to keep all of these facts in context.

Regarding Chinese history in general, I can only recommend John Keay's China: A History. Dry as hell, but you'll have a good grounding from the Legendary Five Dynasties 5000 years ago to modern China.

If you want to know more about modern Chinese politics and history, a YouTube Channel called China Uncensored is pretty good at giving a humourous glance over the entire thing.

I haven't played any of these, so depending on how you look at it I'm either the most impartial or most useless judge you can get on this, but to me Invisible Apartment Zero sounds the most interesting.

Q: Should I try to go to Indie Popcon in June? It's the closest convention that will probably get to me that will have Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, and all of those people, but I may or may not be losing my job in the next couple of months[footnote]Long story short, technically my position is temporary, but I've almost had it for two years now as they haven't found someone qualified enough to take it full time. They're looking for someone with ~10 years more experience than me, and I haven't been able to get that much experience in two years. A prospective candidate has emerged and they'll be looking into the position, but nothing's final yet and they've made no offer.[/footnote] and I'm going to start planning a wedding soon so the cost of tickets, room and board for the weekend, plus the ~6 hour drive there one way isn't exactly a small investment. I would bring my fiance as well, but only if he could come and was interested. Pragmatically, what is the wisest choice? This is really feeling like an "I need an adult" moment for me, lol.

You need to assume they are going to fire you and work from there. Start offering your CV around. Worst case scenerio is that you move to another job, but you're not jobless during a critical part of your life. Best case scenario is you just don't accept any job offers. Keep working for them until you are sure they are going to kick you though.

However, I do hope you now appreciate the value of a stable contract, make sure you get one where they can't just fire you. I don't know which country you're in though, I believe in the U.S. some states allow them to fire you whenever (At Will Employment, I believe).

While a part of me can understand the "life a litle" idea, you're about to be potentially unemployed AND you're about to be preparing to get married (and we both know weddings are expensive things), and if you cannot contribute money to living expenses as well as the wedding, you're basically putting the entire burden on your fiance.

Weddings only happen once, eating happens every day, YouTube conventions will come again. In the future, you can even fly to them.

It isn't a 'trick question' it's a koan. The purpose of a koan is to make you take a step outside your normal or 'rote' thought processes. Essentially it is supposed to help develop your ability to think for yourself instead of regurgitating information.
Note that many koan do not even take the form of questions, such as the favorite among my circle of friends "If you meet Buddha on the road, cock-punch him!". (We altered it from it's original form a teensy bit....)
