Will the plot center on Desmond trying to get the Templar's artifacts?
I think so because there won't exactly be Animi everywhere.
Or will the story be focused on more of Desmond's ancestors and their encounters with the Templars?
What do you think?

I would be ok with maybe showing what the templars did to the other assassins in the room where desmond stayed. With all those writngs. I also would like to see more of Altiar. Maybe hes older and training a new guy in real ways of an assassin. God i just hope thats the devs. arnt influenced to much by all the haters of the game because i really liked it and i think alot more people liked it than they are admitting. People seem to just love to jump on the hate a game Bandwagon.

Okay, let me make this actually discussable,
What flaws in the first game annoyed you (Repetitive Missions included) that you want absolutely removed like a malicious tumor, or fixed?

I would prefer the story just to stick itself to Altair. The desmond side always was a little stupid in my opinion.
You're probably gonna hate the third one then. Big money is set on it being entirely set around Desmond after he 'inherits' his ancestor's skills, meaning no Animus. It does mean that you're gonna be free-running around a modern/future city though.

Speculation, but I think it'd be a pretty good way to round off the trilogy.

>_> And I thought Assassin's Creed 2 was meant to be centred around ninjas? Or was that just hopeful thinking from a vast majority of fans?

At the end of AC, Desmond was mentally fused with Altair, gaining his abilities.

I would imagine playing as Desmond, who has all the memories and talents of Altair.

Things that i really would want fixed? Really the only thing i did not like about the game were the side missions - namley how they were the same thing somehting like 3 times each. If you just fix that man that would be an amazing game to me.

If they're somehow able to make a futuristic sandbox game with Assassin's Creed's controls/engine/whatevs, I will play that game until we all explode somehow in 2012. The story won't bother me much, it wasn't that great in the first one anyway.

For some reason this reminds me of the saying "Those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't". I really doubt Altair's talents will count for shit against a sniper.

Fixing the sneak system. How does tilting one's head and walking slightly slower fool guards into thinking you're some scholar? He's got flipping swords and throwing knives all over him!

Same thing with the beggars. Don't ask a heavily armed guy for money when you just saw him kill a civilian 12 seconds ago.

Hopeful thinking is a pain.

It would most likely be like mirrors edge but you don't go around crotch punching people til' they give up, or going nowhere just to stand around killing them. The combat would be present, the swords and such I have no idea where they'll go...or if they'll bring in guns(I'm hoping there will be a hammer or something).

They can do whatever they want I'm not going to buy the thing. I got past caring about that game, as briefly fun as it was, when I had to do one of three or four identical tasks to gather information for the gajillionth time. I just put it down and left it about half way through the game.

Even if they give the side missions some variation or do something stupid and radical by plonking it on Jupiter for example, where you have to collect space dust and trade it for money (which wouldn't even strike me as beyond the design team), I'm not getting the sequel.

I like to share my mind. Rather than spreading my seed like cavemen of old, I spread my (albeit poorly expressed) ideas.

I'd like to say this about Assassin's Creed: the moral ambiguity and disguised motives of the story were really well done. I thoroughly enjoyed how you couldn't be sure if you were fighting for the good side or the bad. I thought it was great writing, considering how rare writing with a comprehensible vision is these days. It was framed poorly (an aside after each mission is pretty simplistic), but great nonetheless. Game doesn't get enough credit for it. You saw the betrayal at the end coming, but you were supposed to: to be agonizing over an uncertain alliance.

But after the cliff-hanger of the last one, Assassin's Creed 2 can fuck off. Be it Halo 2 or AC, writers seem to have forgotten that all stories need a significant resolution, even ones with cliffhangers as well.

So for AC 2: keep the cool themes, but write a better story this time.

i'd have to say better missions, not so repetitive as they were in the first ones, better cities to run around, they looked too similar especially when you could run on the roofs all the time, lastly better controls, especially when jumping and climbing, i got killed once too many times cause it would grab onto some stupid tiny ledge when i should have jumped onto the roof
