Please tell me that "Deathmatch" is Free-For-All. I've been dying for some kind of Stabby McKnives every-man-for-himself bloodbath mode.
Its obvious you don't have the DLC for Brotherhood. Assassinate is a game mode for it that's a true free for all. Anyone can kill you and you can kill anyone. Deathmatch is more like an uber advanced wanted. Your still assigned targets and pursers but you don't have any composs and the maps are alot smaller. Though I feel deathmatch is a very misleading name.

Other PS3 owners will have to wait until September 12 to get in on the cat-and-mouse action.
I am wondering where the idea that all PS3 users will gain access to the beta on the 12th is coming from, the AC:R website only says that it will start on the 3rd and run until the 11th.

I'm not surprised considering I'm pretty sure they did this with Brotherhood, but the choice to do it still puzzles me considering beta testing on all consoles would help them catch any potential problems with any of the three versions before it came out for real.

But anyway, so long as the multiplayer doesn't take 10 minutes to find a match and it'll be an improvement to me.

Nobody should be surprised; the Beta for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was a PS3 exclusivity as well.
Indeed, the Assassin's Creed devs have had a thing for the PS3 since the second game.

Sweet! I just hope Revelations isn't as big a let down as Brotherhood was.
Wait, what? I liked it. Single player was fun as hell, and multiplayer is incredibly fast-paced and better than I expected.

Lol, like Ubisoft bothered to fix the vast number of errors in their brotherhood multiplayer. That thing in a disgrace to gaming. Even though it is one of the most fun MP's that could be out there

Isn't the point of a beta to get more data by getting as many people as possible into the beta? Why restrict it?
The reason is called "Sony gave us a fat check"

Sorry I have played the three AC games to date but I have left the series now, its the same game over and over. Multiplayer was good when it worked but not enough for another purchase. Dark Souls and Skyrim and maybe Deus Ex should get me by

Does Ubi want AC to be a PS3 exclusive? It doesn't really makes sense, since the quality of the first game on PS3 was so low.

Lots of stuff in AC isn't avaialable for Xbox users, so I just buy them when they're cheap. Still haven't bought Brohood. I'd like if the new one is a bit different, but I doubt it.

We HAVE known about the PS3 exclusive beta for quite a long while now, but it seems more likely that not all 3 platforms are monitored due to the fact that they are still working on the game itself. They might not have time to do both. (Or so I hope)
And, Microsoft charges customers for bandwidth usage. So, they don't really get free online multiplayer demos cause somebody has to pay for people to be online.
I think you got it the other way around. I personally know Sony charges developers around 16 cents for every Gigabyte on the PSN, but I never seen bandwidth fees for XBL.

so does anyone really think it will be released on the PC at the same time as on the other platforms?

....why would you make a beta exclusive to one console, when it will be on both and PC? Bah, me and my not having a PS3 are not pleased by this news. If this weren't Assassin's Creed I'd be considering canceling the pre-order....but it is AC, so you win this round.
You know like how I felt with both Fallout games and the DLC? Except that's even shittier because it adds content to the game?
