Sweet! I just hope Revelations isn't as big a let down as Brotherhood was.
Wait, what? I liked it. Single player was fun as hell, and multiplayer is incredibly fast-paced and better than I expected.
I thought Brotherhood was a step to the side rather than a step forward. In spite of how much they put in and I actually liked (The new economy, Rome, better combat, the Assassin Brotherhood, etc.), there was this huge overhanging feeling of "I've done this before.". Once the campaign was over and I renovated the shit out of Rome, and completed the Christina, Romulus, and Leonardo missions, what else was there for me to do in the city?
The reason I did those missions was to get out of Rome, because after hours into the game, I felt bored with the city and I actually missed ACII's constant variation of locales between Florence, Venice, Monterrigoni, and Forli because there was more to explore and more to do. After I climbed up all the viewpoints of Rome, I eventually went, "Okay. Now what?"
Again, great game with a lot of improvements, but coming from the massive leap forward that was ACII from AC1, I was expecting a bit more. Maybe me feeling let down was the result of me expecting far too much from the game, so I won't repeat this mistake when Revelations comes out. And yeah, the multiplayer was really compelling. I'd go as far as to say it's the most intelligently designed multiplayer component since Call of Duty 4's.
