Because people are largely self-righteous jackasses who actually believe their opinion counts on a matter and must be heard/read by everyone in spite of how little they actually know about it.
I think it's because people are just quick to judge in general. It doesn't matter if it's a situation, living thing, or anything else. The fact that there is a bunch of unknown things about whatever they are judging, rarely ever stops people from having an opinion on it one way or the other, usually as far to the negative or positive side of it as possible too.
