Makes me wonder, does it even qualify as an interactive movie? Can you change all that much? Isn't it just a movie with a single odd, if rewarding addition to it in the form of QTEs?Rabid Toilet said:-snip-
Well, it's an interactive movie in that you're doing things along with the characters. Not much really changes based on the QTE's.Thespian said:Makes me wonder, does it even qualify as an interactive movie? Can you change all that much? I dunno, it looks cool, but the demo didn't inspire faith in me.
Somehow i doubt it. At least the demo didn't make it feel like anything would be lost if they just made it into a full fledged anime. The visual style is certainly something, but that's kind of what makes me want it to be an anime or a movie because it would let you watch it all the time rather than having to pay attention to whether or not you cleared the QTE while the battle is going on. It's kind of like when people complain about subtitles taking away attention except here it's legit.Thespian said:I think this is the sort of thing that begs the question - Does this story work better being told as a game than in any other form? Yep it is that song. Another section is played in the hot springs before they fight.Gingernerd said:Edit: O.k. i swear at about 1:10 just after the massive guy, i can hear a phrase from Dvoraks New World Symphony (or something.) Maybe it's just similar.
Well, you did say it was like an anime...Slycne said:but unfortunately it's a jumbled mess of gameplay mechanics, visual styles and long cinematic sequences, to the point where it might be hard to truly consider Asura's Wrath a game.
And to think that people were praising Dear Esther for what is essentially the same thing. Sometimes I just don't get this industry at all.Ulquiorra4sama said:Somehow i doubt it.
