Serial Killer X from Condemned he was the best villian I ever seen and you have to shoot him in the freaking head.

Imoen from the Baldur's Gate series. She isn't a very powerful character when it comes down to class and stat choice, especially in Baldur's Gate 2, but I noticed I still kept her in the party because of her optimism and kind nature. I think that's the only character in any video game that ever had that effect of personality vs functionality.
[HEADING=3]Hiya, it's me, Imoen![/HEADING]

I was extremely upset when the hunter got Alyx... my eyes misted up a little. Ssme thing with her dad's death, I just sat there while the credits rolled, a little empty inside. Although that could have been his death plus the fact that Valve is working on ep3 in Valve time.

I wasn't saddened by KOTOR's big thing with Bastilla, but I was playing through it as a Sith...

Have you guys ever played a game and REALLY got attatched to a certain character, then if they have something tragic happen to them (eg: loved one dies, they die etc) it really gets to you?

Personally, I really liked Sgt. Griggs, then when he died in COD4 I sat there looking at the tv blanky, just like "what just happened"
and my mate really got upset when Gaz died.
what about you?
That whole COD4 ending made me just sit there. Put the controller down and walk outside. It was truly fantastic but why did they all have to die? WHY?! WHY!?

Also when Benny Carmine died in Gears 2... The most hilarious yet saddening death ever...
Yes. After seeing the characters you grew to love in CoD 4 die in front of you, I needed time to think. For once in my life, I actually felt bad about the hundreds of people I gunned down. And I LOVE GTA. What a great game.

CoD 4 = mass pwnage

Yes. When I play a game, I get terribly attached to the characters, even if they are badly written.

Especially Mass Effect, Max Payne, COD 4 and GTA games. I even grew attached to my buddies in Far Cry 2. And technically, I barely knew them.
